and yes, this should be possible
But you need 5 pads if you want to select all fx directly (there is also a option with inc\dec where you would need only 2 pads)
My recommendation - map to use shift + fx filter knob itself to select preferred fx with a filter knob.

You mean to activate when certain effect is selected? Like an indicator for a selected Mixer Effect?

You could use dedicated output command. Like Uwe already said, you will need 5 pads/buttons.
Add Out --> Mixer --> Mixer FX Selector
Then use the controller range values to display different state in each button.
Effect 1, min=0, max=0 (basic filter)
Effect 2, min=1, max=1 (slot 1)
Effect 3, min=2, max=2 (slot 2)
Effect 4, min=3, max=3 (slot 3)
Effect 5, min=4, max=4 (slot 4)
And leave 'Blend' unchecked for the LED output.
I use these buttons to activate the effects but I want when I press it to light up to show that the effect is active
anybody help me?
