How to remove and create my own Mappings for Arturia Plugins

While I appreciate the automatic NKS mappings for all arturia products, I really dont mesh well with them.

I would like to create my own simple mappings via Komplete Kontrol panel. I want to create a new mapping, while a knob on the arturia GUI and name the mapping.

I paid for and watched an entire 1 hour tutorial on Komplete Kontrol on ASKVIDEO.COM, yet I still cant seem to figure this out. The tutorial was for MK2, maybe they over complicated things in MK3?

How do I remove the default Arturia mappings and create my own from scratch!

follow up question:

You can't "remove" a mapping however you can just open the control edit section

The unlock and delete the existing pages then enable the "learn" option so you can then start mapping your own setup.

Once done just File > Save As but keep in mind this only saves the mapping for that current preset and saves to the USER browser so you can make your own custom map but not apply or replace it in the existing library.

We suggested a way to have a user map overwrite the default one using a simple switch option but NI don't listen/care much about user suggestions so no chance really of anything actually useful like that happening, that is about all you can do. Will also depend if the control you want is host automatable and can be learned because not all controls in all plugins can.

Thanks! I tried this, but for some reason it doesn't appear to work as you show it for me.

For starters: what is confusing the particular CS-80 nks file pages sown in komplete control, does not align at all with the actual pages shown on the device.

Why is this?

The complication with the Arturia plugins is many of them use NKS2 mappings which allow for more nested complexity of controls for MkIII keyboards. When you create your own mapping it uses the older NKS1 mode - there is a way to switch between each mode on the keyboard
