Looking for a new 25 key controller

Hi,

As S25 support has been dropped, the only thing I can do is make templates in Controller Editor. Could anyone recommend a nice 25 Key controller?

I'd love guide lights
I'd love something more than a small OLED readout. If there's something with a screen for every knob, I'd love to have that.
The A25 and M32 will be my last choice, if these options aren't available on another third-party controller.

Yes, well , two years ago when asked then Matthew_NI who were then in charge of Komplete Kontrol (now in charge of Kontakt) responded in the following way : Quote Matthew_NI , September 2023 : S25 is not coming later. Other key sizes larger than 25 but smaller than 49, with the same capabilities... might be...

So if he wrote that two years ago then indeed then we can not tell if someone is going to suddenly push the button for producing a 32 keys model of the S-Series MK3. Mind you then it is only very recently that N.I. finally managed to get promised Accessibility functions delivered. And now when pressure might be easing up on the keyboard division (unless they now have even more in the oven) then they could indeed have the time and surplus to take on another variety of that keyboard family.

But hey ! , I do not know more than you do and this is just me sharing my thoughts on it all.

I really wish there were a smaller version in Novation's SL series. At this point it's probably going to be the MPK

I did look into this after reading your original post and I frankly didn't find anything 25 keys that would meet your given wishes and requirements. I suppose that the space or price constraints must be met since you are considering getting a 'MPK Mini Plus' (37 keys ?) over a S-Series 49 MK3 .

yes, size is my biggest concern. I already own an S49 MK3. It's great, but it gets in the way some times. I'm now wondering if when I purchase a mini style keyboard, one will just pop up out of nowhere with a nice interface, as things almost always happen when I buy gear. :)

I suppose these smaller keyboards aren't the biggest investment and would make a nice gift in the future if I decide to upgrade. Thanks for the convo (and intel :) )

A new M32 MK2 or similar will likely arrive as early as this month - maybe next week. It has been five years since the last release and the MK1 limit in controlling Kontakt 8 opens up the door for a MK2.
