Hi I can't seem to get any kontakt instruments to play. I included a few screenshots. I save my sounds on an external drive but install the applications on my mac. Not sure what I did wrong. Thank you in advance!
Having the same issue. If I launch just Kontact 8 it works fine. Komplete Control won’t load anything.
Please make sure that Komplete Kontrol, Kontakt 8 and generally all music apps have full disk access: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS
Please check the following: Komplete Kontrol Error Message: "Loading Issue - Plug-In not found. Please open the standalone application..."
Same problem here even if I reinstall everything, rescanning folders in kk, deleting folder and restart computer, reinstall my VST3 plugins, for example my U-he plugins, it is still the same problem on my Mac mini m1. There has been so many problem with KK since 3.0 it is wasting my time over and over every time using KK, im seeking other tools for making music instead.
Not the same issue at all - the others are having problems loading Kontakt libraries, not plugins (I know they said 'plugins' but people mix them up all the time but the underlying cause is completely different). In their case it is about making sure KK has the right path for Kontakt and it is the latest version. In your case these are migration issues that you would get in any host trying to load older projects made with the Intel versions. The solution is not to delete and reinstall stuff but to do a complete on demand plugin scan (and not use Rosetta mode or you'll have to do it again). It's how u-he plugins recognise the host is running in Apple Silicon mode (using iplugincompatibility)
Hi Kymeia
Im starting from a a new projekt, with a new installed KK, new installed VST3 U-he, Synapse Audio and Arturia all running without problems on Apple Silicon, all plugins are the latest updates.
OK - have you done a complete scan (not relying just on the startup scan)? Unless you somehow installed earlier versions these are all Apple Silicon compatible. I assume you did install the NKS resources?
Hi Kymeia, I've complete scan of both library and plugins, from all the correct folders. Ive also installed the NKS resources.
Are they working now? So you didn't have the NKS resources before?
I did have all the NKS resources. but my problem is that KK won't load all my VST3 Plugins, I dont have problems with NKS, im rarely use those.
Problem is it KK won't load all my VST3,s and I have all the latest updates for everything. Also all my NI stuff have full harddisk access.
Ok I'm a bit confused because in the other thread where you mentioned this problem you posted this image - which is one you would get if you try and load plugin from the NKS browser so that is a problem with NKS
If you're saying it's 'not loading your VST3s' at all do you mean from the plugin loader? ie
or from the NKS browser? (which is loading the plugin via a NKS preset for that plugin)
If the former then it may be a path issue or maybe permissions? Has Komplete Kontrol got full disk access for example?
Thank you so much for taking your time to help me.
Native Acces, Komplete Kontrol, Kontakt 7 and NTKDeamon has full access to hardisk, also my plugins.
KK haven't loaded in all my Arturia only 7 plugins, missing 23 plugins, I've got the whole collection, U-he plugins none of them, Synapse audio none, and many more are missing and even Native instrument folder with Kontakt 7 isent there. All plugins are the latest update, VST3 and they got their NKS installed correctly
All NKS presets are loaded and ready, but it won't allow the plugins to run as mentioned earlier. And since they are not in the KK folder called Instruments I can't load them from there, or from the GUI where they are, and all pictured.
Ive have rescanned, re installed everything, both KK, Kontakt, also Arturia and U-he. when I rescan it only find 22 plugins and I've got a lot more than that.
About the correct path, this is where my plugins are installed and always has been for years without any problems
Path should really be
Ive tried that to
Im trying to do what MangoMan suggested in a other post, and temporary remove all vst3 to another folder and then take them back 5 at a time to isolate them, rescan KK and see if any plugin makes some conflict, so far it seems to work :) Thanks for taking some time to help Kymeia.
That would work if there is some plugin blocking the scan (which actually might have been because you had the wrong path setup) - but only if you have the correct path first (the one I gave you)
