Is this new update already in beta? Are you still targeting the end of the month for release?
I believe that the M+ was feature-complete i.e satisfied its original release objective, some time ago. Perhaps you should try and return to the bakery with years-old pastries, complaining that new improvements had not been fulfilled.
I have a déjà-vu too:
Someone is still using the “I don’t personally use it that way, therefore it’s not a problem”, “I’m not personally affected, therefore it’s not a problem”, somebody else has issues, therefore it’s not a problem” argument
Bros, sorry…but "feature complete" for a groovebox means "Tempo and time signature automation". Especially if it cost $1300 on release. Some of us like jazz, metal, prog rock, folk, etc. & want to use Maschine to write music in those genres…and you're not gonna be able to do as good a job without the ability to fully articulate rhythm. If you can't pass Free Beat's "Tom Sawyer Test", where he tries to recreate the famous Rush song on a groovebox, then you're not a finished product. Even the polyend tracker can sequence "Tom Sawyer".
"feature complete" for a groovebox means "Tempo and time signature automation"
Does it? Where is that written? Is there some "groovebox law" document I haven't seen that specifies the requirements of all grooveboxes?
The ten commandments of grooveboxes? Thy groovebox shalt be endowed with tempo automation else thy device is not a groovebox. 😂
You can join the beta centercode community and find out….or you could start a new echo chamber of complaints every week. Personally, the former seems like it would get you closer to your goal and the later just seem a bit exhausting.
I mean, yes, there actually should be a legal definition for many of these things. Music technology is a market that needs more regulation and consumer protection, but it doesn't really have it because it's seen as a "luxury". Imo, anything that is marketed at professionals & priced appropriately needs to have fully articulated and advanced sequencing capabilities. How can you be a professional musician if you can't deal with tempo or time changes? A groovebox for professionals also needs to be made with a degree of modularity & robustness, so that faulty components can be swapped out on tour.
Well lots of "professional musicians" don't want or need tempo or time signature changes. It's not a requirement that a pro musician must always use those. Nor is it a requirement that all equipment must be capable of it.
Also, most of the electronic equipment on the market (groovebox or otherwise) is NOT modular and is not designed for the end user to take apart. It's been that way for decades, and most of us just get on and use it anyway, with no issues.
Hey everyone,
First of all — thank you for all the comments. I know we share the same passion and love for music, and in the end, that passion is what truly matters most. ;)
The update was initially planned for the end of June, and then the community was informed of a new deadline: July 31. Naturally, I wanted to check if that date was still valid — and now I know it likely isn’t.
Anyway, thanks again — and I just hope it finally comes out someday…
Lick the boot, bud.
It's nearing the end of the beta testing phase, there is just one last stability issue the team is working on. I assure you they are doing their best to get it out ASAP!
Great info 🙏👌
Thus ain't it!
Everyone here would like improvements, presuming they're stable. And I'd be surprised if anyone here was not interested in the coming update. It's about adjusting of expectations and letting go of thst which we have no power to change.
At this point, I generally expect every software update (Not just from NI) will be delayed, whether from making promises that are too hard to keep, or promises that are on track to be kept, but for a last minute issue/bug that really has no place being in a released update (The result of which would likely cause far more uproar than a delayed release).
I also think that the "Are we there yet?…Are we there yet?…Are we there yet?…" threads do nothing but lay on unnecessary pressure for the devs, and it can get irritating for others.

Arturia said that the update to the astrolab was on 17th of July about 2 month before that date. And it was released that date. It's about planning and customer management. You can better say that it will be next year and release it earlier. Customer expertation management.
Yeah…sometimes these things work out. But not always.
Aka as "Soon!". 😁 At least I managed to sell my Maschine + (plus) for a good price and I was able to recover quite a bit of money. Today I decided to visit the forum to see if I was wrong about selling it... and from what I can read, things are still exactly the same: Angry users waiting for updates and receiving broken promises in return. So … I still think it was a good decision to sell the Maschine +. I will continue making music with my Maschine mk3 alongside my computer, which is where at least I can work comfortably with the latest version.
