Release audio driver in background

I'm just wondering if there is any way of releasing the audio driver in Maschine 3.2 for other applications.

For instance in Studio One there is an option:
"Release audio driver in background" which will release the audio driver when the application is minimized.

There are some scenarios (with my ASIO driver) where something like this would be helpful.

(At a later stage I can probably route audio so I don't get any conflicts when running Maschine + DAW at the same time).

Thanks.

    Hello,

asio is normally an exclusive driver. You can them use waspi shared but then you loose the advantage of the asio driver. Of course if you open maschine inside of s1 this should work with the mentioned option.

Right but like I say Studio One can release any audio driver (Inc ASIO) when it minimises. I've seen this in other DAWs too.

I'm assuming similar functionality is not available for Maschine.

    Cheers.

Absolutely but I wouldn't count on native to implement that, Cubase, what I use, can do that too afaik.

fwiw, Cubase has had this for years. I don't remember it ever NOT having the option…
