Maschine 3.2.0 Installation Fails – Stuck in Native Access with Unresolved Error

I'm experiencing a serious issue with updating Maschine 3 via Native Access.
When prompted to update to version 3.2.0, I initiated the install through Native Access. However, the download never progressed—it remained stuck with a loading spinner, as though it were about to begin, but no progress occurred. I waited over an hour with no change.
After attempting to resolve the issue through various means (restart, re-login, etc.), Maschine 3 is now fully uninstalled on my system, and I'm unable to reinstall it. Native Access now shows an exclamation mark error next to Maschine 3, along with a "Repair" option. However, clicking "Repair" does nothing—it simply refreshes the screen with no change.
I've tried the usual troubleshooting steps (restart, network check, system cache clean, etc.) with no success.
Could you please assist with restoring/installing Maschine 3 and resolving the installation failure?
Thank you,
Simon

Hey @Simon You could try to uninstall Maschine 3 with our regtool: Fixing Software Update Installation Issues (Windows)
Also quitting Native Access and restarting your computer can sometimes help.
If that didn't help, my colleagues from support will need to have a deeper look. I see that you already submitted a request. My colleagues will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi Jeremy_NI,
I used the NI Uninstall RegTool_64bit.exe tool, but the Maschine 3 item does not appear in the list of products (see image). Also the folder at this path C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Maschine 3 is completely empty. Thanks for your help on this.
Also, thanks tajna92, for adding your voice on this too.

For some reason, this thread is now listed as Answered in the forum listings, after responding "No" to the question "Did this answer the question? Yes No". A little confusing…lol. This thread is not answered, however…just to be sure. Thanks!

Bei mi das gleiche Problem. Kein Maschine 3.2 nichts.

I have the same problem. No Maschine 3.2, nothing. It keeps looping when trying to install. It's really starting to get on my nerves. It used to work. Only after I tried to install 3.2. I have the latest computer with an i9. It's a good thing I don't have to rely on it.

Hi Linsteff
Thanks for contributing to the thread. You're right — this is seriously nerve-wracking.
To add insult to injury, NI seem to do this repeatedly. They really need to fix what's going on in the software department — or whoever’s responsible.
Hopefully this gets resolved soon. And you're right again — it always takes forever. Lucky you don’t have to rely on it.Best,

Hello guys, have you tried repairing the product using the workaround below?
Here is the Knowledge Base Article that can help you with this subject:
Using the Repair / Relocate Function in Native Access
And please restart your computer and Native Access afterwards.
Does the issue persist?
I hope this helps☺️

Hi Mert_NI,
I followed your suggestions, but it's still not working…I've tried to locate an alternative folder for the installation in various logications but it never works. see image.
I attempted this method previously and also after you suggested, and i attempted repeatedly but always unable to install.
So no, this doesn't fix the issue.
Best,
Simon

Hello Simon, can you please try the workaround in this Knowledge Base Article below:
Native Access Error: "Path is invalid"
I hope this helps☺️

Hi Mert_NI,
Thanks again for your continued support, but unfortunately, I’ve already attempted the steps in that article—both previously and again just now after your latest message. The result is the same: the install fails, and Native Access continues to show the same unresolved error for Maschine 3.
At this point, I’ve followed every workaround suggested, including:
- Restarting the machine and Native Access
- Using the RegTool (Maschine 3 does not appear in the list)
- Attempting to Repair/Relocate multiple times
- Manually creating and selecting installation paths
- Following the steps in both of the knowledge base articles you've now linked
- Drive and target location format and protocol is valid
- Verified that Microsoft Commander is not causing the problem
- After pointing the Repair operation back to the original Maschine 3 folder in program files, it still has the same invalid path or directory message as the other paths
None of these has resolved the issue.
I would appreciate it if we could escalate this matter beyond suggested Knowledge Base workarounds, as the issue persists and appears to be affecting other users as well (see above in this thread), and nothing has changed on my side.
Look forward to an actual resolution soon.
Best regards,
Simon0
