Getting the Maschine 3 software recognized?

Was instructed to purchase new software to support my MK3, after purchasing the Maschine software does not appear onto my MK3 screen. Prior to using this software it was on screen. Do I have to load the unit if it is already on my computer hard drive and Maschine software available??

    Hello,

    so you installed maschine 3 via native access and if you start your maschine hardware the screens do not react?

    Yes, my MK3 unit isn't showing those squares that you scroll through

    What does the screen show when starting up, or does it stay black?

    The screen on unit shows cc66 cc67 cc68 cc69 on top with a number of rectangle boxes below.

    That sounds like you're in MIDI mode. Are you connecting it to the Controller Editor?

    If you want to see "the Maschine software" on the MK3 then you need to run the Maschine software.

    I have now sampler on the right side of the MK3 unit. I had an error message that asked me to install Reaktor 6, which I did. Now I am looking for the

    boxes that had all of the mixes and sounds

    In the maschine prefs you can set an option to not use the latest plugin version. Maybe that helps to open older projects. Let's say you open an older project you've created with reaktor 5, with this option on it tries to open up reaktor 6, that's why deselecting that option can help.

    So when I purchased MK3 it came with gobs of tracks that populated on the unit, and had to purchase machine 3 software bc the original was outdated.

    Just see lots of tracks on machine 3 software but not on the unit.

    If you want to load a project from hardware you open the browser and set type to project then maybe ni or user projects. Should be the first two buttons over the screen to go to protects then press user (fourth button) if you want to load your own projects or let user off and load maschine projects from native instruments.

    @jandwine Any progress?

    You need to install Maschine 3 in Native Access. Were you able to do so?

    So now I have the screens I was looking for on the Maschine itself, now need the steps to use it. I see that I will have to have Kontact and maschine software open correct? So now I just need to start a session using the MK3 unit.

    The process should be synced with the Maschine software in real time correct?

    You only need the maschine software open, kontakt (or other instruments/FX) are them loaded from within maschine and are played/controlled by maschine. I would highly recommend to watch some tutorials on YT like:
