how/where do i get maschine 2.0 for mk1

in Maschine

my friend gave me a machine mk1 for free, he doesnt have the software license and i want to use maschine software for this mk1. native instaments no long sells 2.0 software and i cant find it anywhere else. where to i get it

    @Jeremy_NI Since you marked my post as correct answer, I have a question (to clarify a discussion we had on another similar thread): if someone has an unregistered Maschine 2 serial in his account, can this serial be given to someone else without any issue? Or, being it in some way tied to a hardware device it will work only on the original user account?

    Well, the Maschine 2 software serial requires a Maschine hardware serial to be valid. If the buyer does not have a hardware serail he won't be able to activate it.

    As in this case: OP owns a Maschine 1, so he does have “a" Maschine hardware serial. But it’s not the same Maschine with which the unregistered serial of my Maschine software which is in my account was released.

    Would it work?

    It would be a pity if not, since now many users are searching for Maschine 2 software and NI doesn’t provide it anymore.

    And many of us owners of multiple Maschine hardwares have unused (and unregistered) ones in their accounts.


    Another thing that I don’t understand well is the fact that, if someone buys an used Maschine hardware, he should receive the Maschine software in his account, and it seems it is not always the case
