How can i mirror Traktor on 2 different machines?

Problem:

i prepare tracks and sets on my desktop device, having good speakers, large monitor etc.

Then i want to transfer the exact state of my desktop application to my laptop to play somewhere. This worked so far by simply mirroring the root direktory to the Laptop.

But since i had an installation of Traktor4, this doesn't work anymore. I actually swapped back to T3 because i missed some features that were gone in 4. but still it doesn't work that way anymore.

So how can i have 2 exact same instances of traktor on 2 different machines?

Yes, you can copy your library file (collection.nml) to the other computer. If you want identical setups you can copy over your 'Traktor Settings.tsi' and 'Favorites Backup.tsi' over too. This only works with one instance open at a time though.

Make sure your file structure is the same on both computers.

I do this too a lot to not use the laptop so much, big screens, studio monitors etc.

I used a wifi enabled NAS for exactly this, with software called Resilio Sync.

I think you can even do it without a NAS using Resilio Sync…

Which music folders do I need to copy if I wnt all the music with same analysis , cue points , meta tags etc etc ?
I assume it’s more than the folders with the mo3/flac etc ?

The prerequisite is that the music folder has the same structure on both PCs. Then you need to sync/copy following on both PC:

    collection.nml file

Complete Folders : Transients ; Stripes (I personally sync the Coverart folder also)

I can't tell you which folder you need if you working with stems, I don' t use stems.

I prepare my sets on a Win10 PC with TP4 and sync my external HDD with "Puresync". After that I connect the HDD with my Mac and copy the files into TP4.
