After Installing Komplete 15 Several Instrument Previews Aren’t Working

I just upgraded from Komplete 11 and did install Previews but several aren’t working. How do I fix this?

    More likely the missing previews are from products that aren't included in the old previews library, as it only goes back so far. More recent NI products install their own - usually in the preset folder, but for some third part products you need to install them separately. Which ones specifically aren't playing previews?

    Kymeia I found it’s mostly those instruments at the top that have little keyboards beside them that aren’t working though previews also. What are those anyway?

    Here’s a screenshot showing the little keyboard icons to the left of the sound previews - some of these aren’t working and I’m also curious the difference between these previews (marked in red) and the “regular” ones (marked in blue)?

    I’m trying to test the name change to /Previews - NA said Kontakt 8 had an update so I applied that as well. However, now when I go into DP (DAW) it’s saying Kontakt 8 couldn’t be found. I go in where you choose Audio Plugins and I see one Kontakt 8 that ‘failed’. When I told it to re-examine it crashed. I’m restarting now to see if that fixes the problem. Also there appears to be double previews of some of the older instruments like it added them twice ? !

    ok update: Restarting computer fixed problem of DP not loading the updated Kontakt 8. However, on testing the previews, there are still several that don’t load those at the top of list that have the keyboard icons but the rest are working.

    Sorry that doesn't help - what libraries are the ones with no previews from?

    I really don't see why that would be a good idea - the original name should work fine, the problem here is probably more due to you not having installed previews for some libraries, renaming folders is likely to cause more problems

    These are the ones I found for sure: Noire, Piano Colors, Action Strings 2, Action Strikes, Electric Sunburst, Session Strings 2, Session Strings Pro 2, Stradivari Violin

    As I thought they are all more recent than the Previews library, so don’t bother with trying to rename or fiddle with that, it won’t make a bit of difference.

    The previews for these should have been installed with each library - unless there was an error in the install process or they have been deleted subsequently?

    To check they should be in the same folder as the presets or snapshots eg for Noire like this - '.previews' folder is a hidden folder so you will need to make hidden files and folders visible to see them - the fact that it is hidden sometimes means people accidentally delete or omit them when moving stuff around so that might be what happened if they are not there
