Installing issues

I will try to not write anything about the frustrating parts of the process, but keep to the facts (but oh my god…). Using a Mac M4, Sequoia 15.1
So I caved and bought Kontakt. Had some errors when using it with the libraries that came with it, but after that it worked. Great.
Decided to get the symphony series. Put them all in a queue (mistake) to download. Came back after a while to see that there was an error with installing. I might have refreshed after this (mistake).
At this time I moved the content location in the Native Acess settings, and moved all libraries to an external disk. Eventhough all the Symphony series were in my download folder, I removed them, and tried an install again. THe files are downloaded, but installing moves left and right, but doesnt seem to be picked up.
So I read the forum. I gave the NKT Daemon Full Access to all folders (….). I gave it access to local network. Restarted my Mac. Same thing, download yes, install no.
Removed all download files again. In Activity Monitor I killed all Native and NTKDaemon activity. Restarted Mac, removed Native Access. Tried again with 1 library. The same thing. Nothing happens.
I have read most (closed) topics, and think I have done every step mentioned. The only thing I couldnt get working, was to mount/install the downloaded files, cause nothing happens when double clicking them.
Is there someone that has an idea what I can do next? I really would like to give it a chance, but am seriously wondering what I have gotten myself into. Is this common?

Have you tried this ? :
how to mount an iso file. Once downloaded, you need to click on the iso file, the installer should show on your desktop, open, then right-click the pkg file, choose open, when the message "...installer can't be opened" choose Open

This can be done and there are several very skilled Mac users here of which at least some are using Sequoia already. I sounds to me as you have been 'creative' at full throttle with respect to N.A.. With all due respect then sometimes it is better to take a step back and then reinstall N.A. if needed - not sure but might be.
Anyway , you not only need plenty of space on both download and Content drives you will also need temp space on system drive. Also you could be out of space because of hidden snapshots or something. Apart from that then yes , Mac users are sometimes facing Mac challenge, but there are support and they can be overcome.

Thanks so much for your reply!
I did also reinstall N.A., but unfortunately no dice.
I am installing the files manually now, in the hope of rescanning it later. This process seems to be pretty stuck as well. I have more than 1tb left on the external drive, and 600gb on the system drive. I hope that this would be enough.
Not to step on anyone's toes, but never in my history of installing software have I ever ran into issues like this on a Mac.

I hope that that goes well 🙂
Be sure to be using latest version of Native Access for your OS

You are not and you are entitled to an opinion as long as being agreeable even if disagreeing.
As for the issues themselves then my own interpretation of it all is that N.I. is a rather big company in the industry and they have a lot of interest in protecting their IP (N.A. is both a down-loader and a DRM software). Their choice of method appear to need deep root into peoples system and Mac at the same time tries to have very tight security and also in-between gives problems with their updates.
Anyway , N.I. supports latest three Mac OS' I think that it is so you have support and N.I. will assist you to get your issues fixed if you let them. If your problem persists then please contact N.I. Support (all) and let them help get the problem fixed.

I have a library working by completely bypassing N.A. and installing manually, thank you.
It will be too late 7 hours later to actually make music, but there's always next week ;)
I understand that every company has their own methods, but sincerely hope NI will take some tips from Arturia and Izotope on installing. This is bonkers. I am sure it has to do with Mac. And I know they are a pain to work with. Too bad the customers are the victim when 2 companies stick to their methods stubbornly I guess.
But hey, this might be me talking too much out of frustration. I finally took the plunge of doing things in the box. Got a coupon, then realize I can only use it on non discounted items (which is a horrible timing on my side, cause everything is discounted in this sale so I cant use it), all interesting stuff is from 3rd party, so also no luck there.
Finally decide to then spend an additional 100 on a library, and it then takes me 7 hours of getting a sound out of that on my computer.

Hope that you will have lots of fun and that the installed stuff stays activated.

That makes me think that you do not yet know that N.I. own iZotope and that they are fusing companies and everything is moving to N.A. I think.
With respect to Arturia then while I agree %100 with you then Arturia only have a fraction of the product IP to protect that N.I. have. I think that it is the scope of N.I. business that make N.I. use something like N.A. . N.I. are also acting as both point of sale and DRM protector of all that they sell of third party sounds.

I agree , it all ought to be a more smooth installation also for you. It is smooth for most I think but of course it still ought to be easier to handle for all including you.

Yeah , vouchers needs to have terms and conditions of use scrutinized prior to use and yes they usually can not be used on discounted items.

Hopefully support can help you solve any remaining problems soon and to get things go more smooth in the future. Though of course 'updates' , especially Mac , sometimes creates problems (on Mac you typically have to recheck the ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon must have full disk access. : How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS and the quote Kymeia : if using Sequoia then N.I. apps must be added to the Local Network)

Thanks! Yup they all have full access
I for sure know that they have aquired Izotope. Thats why I was so surprised it works like this for their own stuff. Hopefully they will not change the Izotope stuff to theirs. But will see!
