Thank you but sorry I don't understand , did I say otherwise in the post you quoted ?

oh, man… that would be so funny if it wouldn't cost me money…
from the moment I bought AK1 I connected my headphones to it and have never connected it to my computer anymore, being sure that "sound card makes professional sound"… And now I did plug my headphones in computer. It sounds louder, and I can hear details on much lover volume and don't have to make it loud to be able to hear the details…

No problem.
That was my bad - I quoted the wrong post :) I was speaking to Anatoliy
I have now fixed it on the prior page.

Well , yes , that was sort of the reason for my suggestive question.
All respect to VocalPoint who most certainly knows his tech 🙏 , but still no need to upgrade or spend money if you can get by by using another plug like that from your PC..

Yeah, I'm glad that there is no need to buy new headphones. However… may be there is. I did listen lessons on YouTube about compression, reverb, delay etc. And I just can't hear the difference they were talking about. And now I understand - probably my $40 headphones just can't reproduce those nuances? May be I do need good phones If I want to learn and then to create something related to sound?
@Vocalpoint I checked online stores and they sell Sony MDR-7506/1. Is it what you are talking about? Or it's "Ukrainian edition", manufactured locally? )

they also have ATH-M50x on sale now, and it costs just $20 more than Sony MDR-7506/1.
Are they superior?

I don't know either so I will leave that question in VocalPoints very capable hands 😁

That's interesting. Your link says that ATH-M50x costs $249. Our local store sells ATH-M50x for $180 and now they are on sale for $166

My link was from the manufacturer - you will always see the highest price when you go there.
At standard online retail sites - expect to pay less.
For the Sony 7506 - there is only one pair I am aware of - direct from Sony and made in Japan

When you're looking at headphones take into account what you're using them for. If you're recording with a mic then closed back are better as you don't get spill from the headphones to the mic. For mixing/producing open back are generally better as the sound is more open. Also, if you have Waves Nx check that whatever you buy has a profile available as that makes a difference.

Thanks! I guess ATH-M50x it is. Otherwise it can turn into a never ending story. )

I would still make every effort to try these out before you commit.
All I did was make a recommendation - this does not necessarily mean they will be ideal phones for everyone - including you.
