No sound from Kontakt 8

Hi All,

I finally had Kontakt 8 working fine in my Windows 11 PC. But now it just stopped working. I have no idea why. Every instrumnet loads fine, the keyborad pops up and the playable notes are in blue. Keys press down, but not a sound.

There does seem to be several issues. The first is the only midi channell available is Omni. Every other is Not Available. See attached. I don't have an interface so I use the onboard WASAPI Shared Mode. I have tried changing it, that didn't work either.

Everything seems to updated and loaded. It will not sound in standalone or in my DAW, Mixcraft 10.

I have a Mac and everything works fine on there.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

    i went through the same exact problem.

    solution is indeed simple but easy to miss.

    SOLUTION:

    go to the audio/midi options, click on the routing tab, and change

    headphone L to Speaker L

    and

    headphone R to Speaker R

    Click OK and you got sound. Enjoy!

    very similar problem here it seems, realtek audio selected, no sound output when clicking notes with mouse on a loaded instrument

    Please open a new question of your own and give a full description of the problem including exact OS version , exact version of used app , if the problem is happening both using Kontakt standalone or only in a DAW. Also include a screenshot of Kontakt standalone Audio and Midi settings.

    Also then do not post same message more places , doing so counts as spamming the forum , so your duplicate message in another thread were were deleted.

    No way this thread isn't full of trolls. "Hey I had this problem too! The solution is something that is not visible to the human eye, just go find that and set it to "L" and "R", enjoy!!! I swear these people are sociopaths who are bored and just trying to upset people. There's no way a rational human said to do that when it's not doable. That's like going to Walmart and them telling you the thing you're looking for is in the back aisle 7463. You would just look at them like they are trolling you/insane.
