machine 3 software update

I purchased Machine 3 awhile back I've been seeing recent articles on machine 3 software updates with machine central I checked my native access account and it shows that I have machine 3 HW does that mean hardware only anyway I purchased the update installed it and it open up it says machine 3 but when I try to load a third party plugin ex. bass plugin I get the error message can not load I plugin I ran the plugin manager to scan all the plugins I had before doing this has anybody experienced this before
