MIDI out

I've got a problem with a Reaktor patch apparently sending cc1 values. What I tried to do was* replace the Utilities/MIDI Out module with the Built-in Modules MIDI out, which is much simpler. Problem is, I cannot connect a gate to the Gate outlet. (It does take a Pitch value.) I notice that one port is white, the other yellow. I don't know the significance of this.
*this is after trying to mute the cc Out banks.

White port is for audio, and will also take an event input. Orange (yellow) port is for events and cannot take an audio signal. This is in the Reaktor manuals.
Assuming by "Utilities/MIDI Out module", you mean the Util Midi out Block?
Blocks are intended only to work with other Blocks. They use a different scaling protocol (everything in the range 0..1, or -1..1), and all connections are audio rate connections. Manual cover this, so please read carefully.
Regular modules use midi scaling range for pitch, so 0..127
Not sure what your cc out issue is, but you haven't posted any pics or examples of the problem.

"Assuming by…" — No. by 'built in' I mean pre-Blocks, basic Reaktor. The Blocks/Utilities MIDI out has four cc ports, and I muted them all and am still getting the same effect.
It's complicated: MIDI out is going to a VSL Synchron Player VST in Ableton Live. I just wanted to rule out Reaktor as the cause of the problem. The unwanted cc is adding unwanted cpu load, making Live sluggish and unresponsive.
