Speaker recommendations for Traktor Z1

Hi all - any recommendations for a bluetooth compatibale or a small portable speaker to connect with Kontrol Z1 at small parties / rooftops etc

First: I suggest to not use Bluetooth for DJing. The reason is that you'll have latency due to signal processing. This almost excludes Bluetooth speakers at all because even if they have a wired Aux input the signal is often put through the circuits and software of the speaker which results in same latency even in wired use.

They suggest Minirig speakers in that video. Haven't had one of these myself yet but considering getting one or two of them myself. If used wired they should have no delay contain a battery and can be setup as stereo pair if desired. Additional they have a subwoofer to connect - also battery powered.

I can also recommend Minirig+Sub. I had one 2 years ago. Really great sound and with a sub it's really suitable for parties in small rooms up to 40 square meters.
I would prefer the cable connection for mixing. Not exactly cheap but top quality and no inflated bass sound like with many party Bluetooth speakers.
If you want to use it outdoors and need more sound pressure, I would recommend smaller 8" active PA speakers.

I've got a Mackie Thump Go which is pretty good. Battery is decent, loud for its size, loads of connections, standard speaker pole hole, bluetooth. Definitely use the cable when DJing though. Makes a decent monitor too

I'm using Mackie MR8 MK3's w/ their MK3 10in powered sub in my home studio setup. I've had the speakers for almost 10 years now and can attest to the sound quality and build.
I don't have the Thump Go, but wanted to give props to Mackie as a long time, satisfied customer/user of their products.

AIAIAI Unit4 Wireless + speakers. They use an HF signal to transmit the signal. They are NOT Bluetooth and hence have NO latency - much like their new TMA-2 wireless headphones. Quality build, great battery life and versatile.

Friend, if you use Traktor Z1, then you need to get a good speaker. Z1 is a small portable DJ controller, so you need a speaker with it that will give you a good sound and take up less space. I would say, KRK Rokit 5 G4 is absolutely awesome – bass tight, sound clear, and will give you a very pro feeling.
And if you have a low budget, Presonus Eris E3.5 or Mackie CR3-X is nice – low price, small size, and will definitely work at home or at friends' gatherings. And if you want something very light and portable, iLoud Micro Monitor is nice – even though it is small, it gives a very powerful sound.
In short, get a speaker that will give you good sound, be easy to carry, and connect to Z1 without any problems. So playing DJ will be a lot of fun, bro!
