Question concerning vouchers.

I purchased Kontakt 8, about s month or so . Afterwards, I received an email, informing me that I had a $99 voucher to use. I read all of the details, on which items I could use it on. Tonight, I decided to use it on 2 regular-priced items: 26K Keys and 24K drums. In checkout, after I apply the voucher, it says that one of the 2 items was covered by the voucher, but not the 2nd one. With both of them being $49 each, before tax that would be $98. I do not understand why it is only applying the voucher to one item. Can I not use it towards 2 items? Or, if I use it for 24K drums, can I come back after that transaction is complete, and use the remaining balance for 24K Keys?

I don’t know the exact terms and conditions of this exact voucher, but usually vouchers can be used on a single product only, not on the total amount of the cart. And they don’t give change, so if you use it on a lower priced product, the remaining will be wasted.

Check the conditions again to see if this is the case (although they have never been perfectly written, so it could not be 100% clear anyway…)

Here's the exact wording from the email:

"This e-voucher is valid on all Native Instruments Kontakt instruments software downloads available at the NI Online Shop. It is not valid on updates, upgrades, crossgrades, edu licenses, hardware, NKS partner products, or products that are part of a special offer. The e-voucher is personalized and only for use by the appointed addressee/user. It is not transferable and may not be re-sold. The e-voucher expires if not redeemed within six months after receipt. If the total amount of the e-voucher is not redeemed, the holder is not entitled to payment of the remaining balance. Only one e-voucher can be used per product. The e-voucher may not be redeemed for cash."

I tried getting info from the chatbot, but that was 45 minutes, of going around in circles, until my frustration was at an all-time high. I understand these companies want to save money on payroll, but until they can get AI to be more useful than just reciting the FAQ, it would be AweSOMe if they at least had one human staff member to be the hero, when all else failed, lol.

Only one e-voucher can be used per product.

I guess that whoever wrote this thought that this wording also meant "…. and only for one product" .

There is a forum Customer Care specialist but his role is one of advisory and guidance in the end then he does not make the decisions either , N.I. support makes all decisions and holds the final word on all of this so you will have to ask support : N.I. Purchase Support

In case that you need guidance contacting support : Please read : how to get support !

Maybe the "part of a special offer" statement applies, because of this:

This is the standard Terms and conditions. So, the case should be exactly how I said: the voucher can be used only on a single product.

I already expressed my doubts about many points of this Terms and conditions (it doesn’t expressly says it can’t be used for more than one product, saying “is not entitled to payment of the remaining balance” is not clear about the remaining amount not being usable even as a “second voucher” but makes people believe they just can’t have the remaining amount in cash,…).

They don’t seem to be interested in making it more clear…
