Downloaded expansions not appearing in Ableton
Hi, I'm very new to using NI (or plugins in general). I've downloaded the free expansions 'Acoustic Drums' and 'Expansion Selection''. They appear in my Native Access library as 'Installed' when I open Native Access on its own, but when I open my Kontakt 8 library in Ableton, these new expansions do not appear.
I've gone through all the recommended troubleshooting quite thoroughly i.e. resetting plugin sources in Ableton, making sure the expansions are set to 'Visible' in the Library Settings, reinstalling and updating both Ableton and all my Native software. However, I'm still not seeing the new software in Ableton. Please could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!!

With respect to the 'Acoustic Drums' then that is a LEAP expansion and not a library . LEAP expansoons are found in section LEAP in Kontakt 8 :
'Expansion Selection'' is a Maschine expansion hat you can find in the Komplete Kontrol app (not Kontakt) in section Loops

You are very welcome 🙂
Incidentally then this 'third-party' is free and works with Kontakt player :
FractureSounds : Blueprint Collection , 18 free Kontakt instruments that works with the free Kontakt Player. To get the 'Blueprint series instruments then you are required to subscribe to a newsletter to get the link to be able to buy the instruments at zero cost (no CC required) Every individual instrument in the collection require it's own key to redeem in Native Access and is a download of it's own.

Hi - I come with a further question, not directly related to the first. I've managed to access 'Acoustic Drums' LEAP expansion. I'm wondering how I can slice up a particular sample from there to create a new sample to use separately. For example, in the screenshot, I'm using a 4 bar drum loop, and I want to isolate and use only the last bar of that sample. Is this doable? Thanks!

You need to refer to the Leap documentation that came with the download, but in essence you can move around the outside controls to isolate any portion of the sample.

I've already referred to the Leap documentation, but it didn't give me the info I needed. I've tried moving around the outside controls but then I can't figure out how to convert that into a separate sample…

Try moving the S and L in the manner that I did . Manual mentions Start and End (page 43)(section Edit page) , what I did here apparently works.
Otherwise then check page 36 and forward in the manual , other manuals depending on if you have the Player or full.

Yes , this is the way to do it , My Kontakt GUI just did not allow me to see the E slider to the right , but it is rather easy once you know how to do . Part of it is to drag the zoom fully to respectively left and right to allow you to see and use the S + L and E + L selection controls , with wrong zoom you might not see the selection controls :
