Is anyone else having this issue or did everyone just leave and went and bought a MPC?…. Looks Like your no longer able to make custom thumbnails for your custom kits anymore. My best guess to what's going on is down at the bottom where u can edit the tags and properties (i.e vender name and author) u can't edit the "product" name under the general tab it defaults to Maschine. So your stuck with the ugly stock Maschine icon for groups and no icon for everything else. if you load a NI pack (i.e Street Swarm) it has the name of the pack in the "product" field. I've been at it all day and that's the only difference i've found.
In Maschine 3 it's not possible for me to change the vendor , in Maschine 2 everything working flawlessly.
I have made a workaround till it gets fixed by Ni.
Copy your Maschine 2 lib. Files into the folder of Maschine 3.
I don't remember the name for the files but that works .

Ok, another try. I deleted the Maschine 3 preferences folder
/Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Maschine 3
and had Maschine 3 rebuild its library database from scratch.
Now, when I add a User Library, I do not get Vendor / Product with image in the Browser:
Instead, the imported library Analogue Microcosm by Twisted Tools this shown under Other:
The samples reside under
/Users/Shared/Library/Twisted Tools/Analogue Microcosm/<sub-folder>/<sample>.wav
and are all tagged with Vender "Twisted Tools".
The image resides under:
/Users/Shared/NI Resources/image/twisted tools/analogue microcosm/VB_artwork.png
Moving it to
/Users/Shared/NI Resources/image/analogue microcosm/VB_artwork.png
does not have any effect.
Now it gets interesting.
I then copied the komplete.db3 and user_config.db3 from Maschine 2 located in
/Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Maschine 2/
to
/Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Maschine 3/
My Maschine 3 user library now shows Vendor / Product with images again:
But removing and re-adding a User Library will have the same result as before: No Vendor/Product and image.
Searching the komplete.db3 database with sqlite3, I get the following interesting difference for the same imported sample:

So, my Maschine 3.1.1 installation writes a different value as "brand" (Vendor).
Yes ,I think that is the problem, I think we must keep our Maschine 2 and Tag our files and add own librarys there .
After that we must exchange the komplete DB to the Maschine 3 folder .

I‘m working on macOS and observed this issue with macOS 14 and 15.
As I have observed this same issue on the Maschine+ (which is still on Maschine 2 software) for several years now, I would assume it’s some kind of internal setting.
@Kymeia FYI, I did bug reports on both of these issues, but there was very little to no engagement.
Same issue here, broken in Maschine v3 but works fine in Maschine v2

Ozon already officially reported this 3 months ago, I went there to also confirm, maybe it helps. Theres a bunch of small issues related library stuff, some have been around for a long time.
