Traktor Pro 4; can master sync but not with tempo

I've got master sync via one deck controls the other. But now I want to control the tempo of the synced decks with the tempo fader on decks. It won't let me. Yet, I can with my mouse in the master clock tempo. Is there a way to let the tempo knob do this work?

    people can't guess what hardware are you using. its a good idea to start your post letting is know what gear are you using, also traktor version and OS version.

    If the deck is NOT the master deck, but synced to the master deck, you can't change the speed.

    You can change the deck to be the master deck.

    Switch on AUTO. This way, one of your decks will always be the tempo master and can be adjusted with the tempo faders.
