I can’t load sound from Native instruments in KK

@Jeremy_NI I reached out to NI on March 11 and received an automatic reply stating that they would do everything possible to assist me, along with a few links similar to those on their website. However, since then, I have not heard back from them despite sending multiple messages.
I understand that NI is a large company, and there are certain things I prefer not to disclose publicly, but they should show more respect for their customers.

Not sure what happened here. I see a request from you from March 11th (4513620) where my colleague replied on March 12th. You didn't reply to that message, saying if that worked or not. After a while without answer from you, tickets are automatically closed. This request seems to be still open, so please check your mailbox, spams, filters, etc…and get back to my colleague.

i have EXACTLY the same problem
Mac Studio M1 Max
macOS 15.5
Komplete Kontrol - VST3 & AU 3.5.0
Maschine 3 - VST & AU 3.1.1
Kontakt Player - VST3 & AU 8.4.1Kontakt works perfect in Standalone and all presets load the respective libraries as expected.
I can also load Kontakt, Maschine and KK in Ableton without any problems.
KK and Maschine load all plugins as expected BUT NONE of the Kontakt presets load nor does the Kontakt plugin load. When selecting Kontakt presets, i get the Preview sounds but when i want to run the preset, i get exactly the same error messages as Mizikboy.Since we both have the same problem, this suggests a bug in the NI software.
What makes KK AND Maschine even assume that these presets are incompatible?
Clearly, they are not incompatible since everything worked perfectly until recently and i haven't used Rosetta in a very long time. Everything worked fine in Native Apple Silicon mode.If i'm not mistaken, this problem started since my last round of Native Access updates.
I rolled back to the previous versions from backups, but got the same error, so i just reinstalled everything again in Native Access. Still the same problem.

The problem here is the same stupid error message pops up in Komplete Kontrol regardless of the actual issue, which makes people think this is about Apple Silicon compatibility and migration even when it isn't and is probably in this case more a case of Kontakt not being setup properly in KK settings.
If Kontakt is loading in standalone but not in KK then KK is not finding the correct Kontakt plugin version - can you screenshot the path to the plugins?

All my plugins live in the default Mac location : Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
I just noticed that now also none of the Reaktor 6 (ver 6.6.0) presets work anymore i.e my fav. instrument TRK-01. So this is NOT a problem with Kontakt or Reaktor but the way the preset database is being used by KK and Maschine.

My system spec is identical to yours and they all work fine so this must be something more specific to your setup, if it was a general incompatibility issue it would be happening to everyone. What we need to do is work out what is different in your setup to most people's. Do you have 'use latest version' and use VST3 checked in KK settings?

yes
I've used NI hardware and software for many years and this is none of the obvious things.
but i very much appreciate your help. this really baffles me. i've just set up a new Mac Mini for a friend and yes, everything works great and his setup LOOKS exactly the same.in case you're wondering, i already recreated my KK database which made no difference.
and i use no VST2 plugins.
also, i tried reinstalling a few libraries… no differencebut keep in mind that Miziboy managed to screw things up the same way i did… how is that even possible??

We don’t really know if this is the same issue - similar symptoms can have very different causes and unfortunately we didn’t get very far troubleshooting what was going on in that case. Although it does seem probable that the Kontakt plugin required to load the Kontakt library in KK was missing they didn’t really respond to my question about that.
In the past we have had people with issues like this who just hadn’t realised KK still needs the Kontakt plugin to load Kontakt libraries, but I can see that is not the case for you as you clearly know what you are doing.
Based on what you say it should be working but it isn’t. I still think the migration/Apple silicon thing is a red herring though and this is more a case of the Kontakt plugin not being scanned in for some reason - which suggests a possibility. Perhaps the Kontakt plugin failed plugin validation when scanned and got blacklisted? Can you try removing it from the plugin folder, then doing an on demand plugin scan, close KK, then put it back, reopen KK and do another full scan. If it is blacklisted that should unblock it

i did what you suggested and moved both Kontakt and Reaktor out, scanned, back in, scanned….. but still get the error messages.
what is odd now, the Kontakt Player and Reaktor are no longer in the list of VST3 plugins
i cannot remember if they were ever in there although i thought seeing them in there before.
(they still show in MA3 as AU plugins, but not as VST3s)just tried FM8 presets as well. they are not working either.
so it seems that ALL NI presets trigger these error messages, both in KK and MA30 -
That is odd but what I suspected from that error- for some reason KK is not scanning them in so you are getting plugin not found errors when trying to load a NKS patch for them. I think you need some actual technical support with this so they can look in more detail at what is going on

Have you reset your KK database?

yes, twice
so they should show in the list of VST3 plugins, right?
0 -
Yes they should (and do for me)

i managed to fix it.
i uninstalled Kontakt and Reaktor according to the "How to uninstall" instructions in Native Access.
what a mess ;(after restarting i then reinstalled with Native Access.
KK worked right away. MA3 needed to be rescanned 3 times before the VST3 plugins showed up!
I do remember the scanner being very flaky.1
