Unable to Reinstall Legacy Instruments – "Locate" Option Only in Native Access

I’m currently experiencing an issue in Native Access where several of my products are listed with a “Locate” option instead of the ability to reinstall them. When I click “Locate,” I am only given the option to point to an existing installation path. However, these instruments are not installed, and the directories they would be located in do not exist on my system.

I’ve searched my entire system thoroughly and confirmed that these libraries are not present. Additionally, there are no .plist files or related installation traces for any of these products.

The affected products include:

  • Akoustik Piano
  • Abbey Road Modern Drums
  • Abbey Road 60s Drums
  • Abbey Road 60s Drums Vintage
  • Abbey Road 70s Drums
  • Abbey Road 80s Drums
  • Berlin Concert Grand
  • Elektrik Piano 1.5
  • Kontakt Elements Selection R2
  • New York Concert Grand
  • Upright Piano
  • Vienna Concert Grand

I simply need to reinstall these products, but Native Access will not provide that option. Please advise on how I can resolve this and proceed with reinstalling these instruments.

Thank you for your assistance.

All of these are long retired "legacy" products. They cannot be "reinstalled" by Native Access - only "located".

To do this - you must have the legacy filesets available (on your drive) to point to.

Legacy downloads are available here - (AND you must be logged into your NI Acct for this search to work):

Downloads : Update Manager | Support

Simply search your old legacy target - start with "Akoustik Piano" and you will see all available downloads. Here is what mine looks like for Windows specific archives:

Pick your fileset/archive, download it and unpack it to your specific Native Instruments content location on your drive.

Once the files are in place - use the Locate function in Native Access and point to the library you just unpacked. If you are licensed for that legacy product - it will be activated and off you go.
