Kontrol S88 bought yesterday does not work

I bought a Kontrol S88 mk3 keyboard yesterday and installed it on my Windows 10 system (latest firmware installed, komplete kontrol up to date and hard connection service software installed) and it worked. After turning off and restarting my PC the keyboard was no longer recognized and the screen displayed a configuration in midi use, komplete kontrol no longer recognized it and windows saw it as a USB device. I reinstalled the software, and as that did not improve the situation, I reset the keyboard (option available in midi version) before reinstalling the software (hard connection service and Komplete kontrol). Now, the keyboard starts up by displaying the message "add a serial number" and then remains blocked: nothing works and komplete kontrol does not see it ; windows detects it.

Please help me!

Despite the keyboard having worked then it is most likely an issue with the computer USB-C connection.

Before proceeding with the firmware update mentioned on pages linked to below then I urge you to both attach an USB-C PSU with PD ability and cable able of PD since the S88 is known to require this (especially when updating firmware) and we do not want any mishaps and also you should consider either using an USB-C hub or an USB-C to A adapter and then use an A-port on the computer while using the USB-C PSU to power the keyboard.

For the K88 power supply, I did all the connection tests (powered hub, connection to a USB_A port with K88 power supply)... This does not explain why the keyboard remains blocked when switched on on the message asking to enter the serial number in Native Access !

All the manipulations you recommend have been done several times...

I opened a support ticket but I have no feedback... We would like to have more assistance...

I do not understand why there is not a key combination at startup to launch the K88 in all-terrain mode and that the blocking is done on a stupid screen asking to enter a serial number in Native Access !

What can I do ? Why does the software not communicate with Native Access to authorize startup ? Why does Windows see the USB device and not Komplete Kontrol (nor Maschine, nor Controler editor...) !!!

Well , for what it is worth then , You are supposed to be using latest version of Native Access for your OS

then you are supposed to install the Hardware Connection Service in Native Access.

If you have done that and cabling is OK and USB-C PSU power is ON then the only thing to suggest is to uninstall the Hardware Service and remove the keyboard drivers then reboot run N.A: as an Admin and re-attach the keyboard and re-install the Hardware Service and take it from there.
