why are some of my instruments not working in Kontact

Bought a new computer with windows 11. Loaded sll my music programs on it.

There is an information gap here as we do not know what hardware (specifically display adapter , we need to know to look up DX feature level) that you use and also we do not know if you downloaded all the libraries again or if you used already installed libraries.

When i load kontact 6, 7 or 8, Some of my applications won’t work.

"Some of my applications won’t work" ? , you are sure that you are not referring to some of the Kontakt libraries ?

Also then since you mention Kontakt 6 then in Kontakt 6 then some updated Kontakt libraries will not work correctly ,ref. : Previous versions of recently updated Kontakt libraries / compatibility with K6 older libraries

Also then the problem that you are experiencing can be caused by more things , both by if the display adapter does not support the correct DirectX feature level (Graphics hardware support for Direct 3D 11.1 - Feature Level 11_0 - or higher) as well as by lack of administrative full disk access , as well as by damaged libraries.

Else then :

Be sure that you are using latest version of Native Access for your OS

Also then try running N.A. as an Administrator to update things

Also make sure that you got full access to the location of the library , e.g. by using Take Own and take ownership of the whole folder where the libraries are.

Else then since Kontakt 7/8 gets some of their information then you can try first

resetting the Native Access XML file , look at section 8 here : My Product is Missing in Native Access

Then reboot computer

Then reinitialize the KONTAKT Database to see if that helped

Always run Kontakt as standalone at least once before use in a DAW

Else then try re-installing one of the libraries that you have a problem with…
