What is this Email campaign?

I was just looking at Graphik too and it's nothing like the one in the OP's screenshot, it's just a plain san serif style. All very weird!

The Graphik fontface is referenced via external css on the email, but there's an exception for mso clients where it doesn't get linked: i.e. <!--[if !mso]>
Instead sets mso/outlook to not use AdvancedTypography via xml tags. So, I think this is the underlying issue from NI's side as the email references to Graphik font-family, but it won't be linked via external css if using mso client.
User side, I think by coincidence they have a local version of 'Graphique' named 'Graphik' or something similar. As it's clearly not passing down that list to any of the regular font substitutes such as Helvetica etc.

Thank you very much for your replies. I am not really that grumpy. I actually thought everyone else was seeing what I was seeing😊 I am a graphic designer and have tons of fonts. I am very surprised that I had this one installed (see below) as it is of very little use unless my customer is a wood engraver. However it has the same name. My apologies to NI. who couldn't possibly have known. I spend plenty of money with them, but I do give them much angst
I have removed the offending doppelganger from my system and I am now seeing what you are seeing. Thanks again!!

May I suggest you install the correct Graphik font, so all those lovely NI emails look their best in future. 😁

You shouldn't need to though - I don't have it installed anywhere and never had that problem across web/phone/Mac/pc etc. One of those problems I'm really looking forward to seeing exactly what the problem is/was.

That's because (in this case) if it's not there, it just uses the next one - which is OK if you're not bothered about seeing it as the author intended.
So no, you don't need to….but why not? It won't cost you anything! 😀

We're getting away from the original problem though? The OP sees a weird font, no-one else does.

"no-one else does"
You can't possibly know that. The preferred fonts are specified in the underlying code. Any user could have (or not have) any of those fonts, including different fonts with the same name - as happened here.

Problem was: user's email client referenced a system font they didn't like the look of

Very true - I meant no-one else has reported it. But as you said, someone else could well have the same problem if they have that alternate font installed. Shame you don't have to register font names so they're unambiguous!
