What happened to the sampling room???

I remembered there was a discussion or forum area where sounds generated by users with the autosampler were shared, but I can't find it. Can anyone help me?

It was removed due to lack of engagement, it had like 6 posts over the course of a year or something like that.

    I understand, thanks.

I think it could be a useful sharing place.

Although I love all sorts of sharing, I sort of understand that few want to share their distinctive samples they created for their own art

Also, sharing (deep) sampled sound sources (hardware, software, performances) could potentially infringe copyrights.

I started a thread asking the same thing. I deep sampled my Boomstar and wanted to share some. I took loads of samples and discovered you can overlap samples in Maschine’s auto sampler. So I started taking two takes of each sample over 4-7 octaves with one panned L and the other with slight variations panned R. Boomstar is built old school with through-hole and unstable parts so there are plenty of variation from one take to the other. The result was a gorgeous bath of binaural polysynth I can’t match on massive X or any of my other hardware synths. I posted the method on the “Tips” thread.

I went a little insane and built a library over weeks, it looks like platforms like buymeacoffee will let me host Maschine sound+samples both for free and to sell. I’m looking for time to polish the library and offer a bunch of free and purchase options. We will see, it will be several more hours to organize and polish all that data. I guess I am at about 20GB of thousands of samples. Want to do the same on my Moog Matriarch next, possibly sending a triangle out to my plasma coil then back to build instruments with literal Xenon plasma as an oscillator:-)

I posted one a few days ago; I think it should work for free without signup, let me know. Does anyone know of a free way to share that doesn't require me to pay for more Dropbox space?

This patch isn't one of the Binaural ones, I'll post one of those tonight. It is just a warm and pleasing mono sound.

Yeah, just tried it, it does but the next page is the download page. Hopefully, it is to share with the content creators, not to spam you with "Yo, your cart is waiting for you" or "Check out what's new on Etsy…" " You can always use a trash email.

Not saying that, if interested to download the stuff, putting an email will kill you…

But email informations requests are never without some reason behind it 😏

Here is the same with one of the Binaural patches; I haven't summed the Binaural yet, so it is twice as big as it needs to be. I'll be summing them all soon, especially before I move them to M+.

The sound/patch "ScapeBIN1 75" also has FX on it, it sounds great with them on or defeated.

There about ten of us who actually sample or make our own samples hahaha, everybody else just uses the twelve thousand expansions NI puts out each year.

There was a thread about "maschine is a game console and expansions are the games".

I know there are a lot of people that hate the idea of sampling or using loops or stuff like splice. I'm not that guy.

…but I'd be lying if I pretended like I didn't want to respond to that thread in a way that would probably be seen as toxic. I'm still super, ultra, extremely triggered by that thread.

I’m now an auto sampler addict. Once I exhaust Boomstar for multi samples I’m going to move onto my Matriarch, so many ideas for epic sounds that I can then take with me everywhere on M+. I’m bummed I missed out on the sampling room when it was active.

the expansions rarely have much for me. I typically only like the drums and delete all instruments from the group and use my own.

Freesound dot org is a great place to upload, download, and experiment with (mostly) FOSS projects and plugins created using their API. Vastly better than 'beatport/loopcloud' nonsense and they have all licensing obligations posted clearly for every download. I use that and my zoom h5, and I dont really buy samples anymore.

Not sure if that's the issue or if the Maschine sub-forum simply isn't a place where people feel motivated to share, 99% of all activity is always tech issues or people wanting info on updates/fixes.
