S4 Mk3 Drum Stem Filter not responsive after a period of time?
Hello, so I am having a problem on my fully updated traktor pro 4.1.1 23 with traktor kontrol s4 mk3. The problem is the drum stem filter doesn't work after playing for a period of time. It works when I initially open up traktor, but after I've been playing for a little bit the filter doesn't filter out any frequencies. The controller still shows that I am moving the filter around, but the sound of the drum stem is not being filtered. This is a huge problem as I would like to rely on filtering out drum stems instead of just purely volume modulation. All the other stem filters don't seem to have a problem no matter how long I play.
I would love to see an update to fix this. I wonder how it could be the controller, I feel like its probably the software but I don't know. I also haven't seen anyone else post about this issue.

I have notified N.I. personel about this months ago. The bug is new, ever since stem gen was introduced.
There are two filter controls for every stem. One is the knob parameter (from -100% to +100%), the second is the activation toggle (ON/OFF). The toggle stays ON in many cases, depending on the controller you are using.
Here is a stopgap solution:
Switch it to OFF and then back ON again. The bug is that somehow the audio stream part thinks it's OFF, while the GUI thinks it's ON and so never automatically switches the stem audio stream to go through the Filter fork.
All my mods and mappings automatically switch the stem filters to the OFF state, switching it back to ON when the parameter is being changed.

Just to note: the S4MK3 qml Mod linked in my signature takes care of this problem.

Sure thing. Leave a comment with your experiences if you are so inclined. Helps iron out kinks and edge cases. 🙃

after backing up the original qml folder and moving the qml files over + replacing them, the s4 mk3's screens aren't on?

Try restarting your computer & controller if they're completely blank

fixed, thanks again! :D

You must not delete the original files, just make a safety copy and then copy the mod files on top of the original files.

just been playing with the mod for a bit. loving it so far! only thing I would improve on is the tempo led - I liked it's original function where it was the tracks color when it is at 0% tempo change, red when it was in the shift + sync reset "mode" if you will.
