909 KIT for maschine MK3

Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a pack (from native instruments?) which has a 909 kit for my maschine MK3, which sounds very analog and maybe has the functionality of the real thing.

Kind regards,

Daniël

Ha! Now I finally get the meaning of that Expansion‘s graphics!

IIRC there is also a 909 kit in the Maschine 2 Factory Library or in the Battery Library. Also, there are tons of 909s in various sample libraries.

Another approach would be to buy a 909, record your own samples, and sell the 909 (possibly with a profit) - or do the same with any of its contemporary clones by Behringer or Roland.

Or use any suitable analogue synth (no Moogs at hand?) to create a sound that fits your track. Or just use Maschine’s Drum Synth to do the same.

What you need is the Drum State expansion.

    Hi

I've got a second hand maschine mk3. Have downloaded all the possible libraries.

The 909 kit sounds in pre modus( by scrolling) already too quiet. And only one sample from the kit sounds good on the pads.

I'm using the headphones out, in the software is the monitor option turned on (such as have to be).

I'm wondering, is smth wrong in the settings, with the library files , laptop or the hardware is somehow broken.

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks

Maybe you are playing with unfixed velocity . You could use fixed VEL to have higher volume, or multi-select the 16 Pads/Samplers and lower it's Volume response Velocity to something like 30%

Fixed velocity have no impact on the sound volume. And the only one pad sounds loud enough.

Is it possible that the kits files in the library are somehow broken or not correct downlded?

    Guys,

When I choose wasapi driver and put the headphones in the laptop - it sounds all good.

With asio driver and MK3 as device (headphones in maschine)- it gets ugly and sound doesn't work properly.

Could be the sound card from the device broken or is it just SW problem? Is it possible to test whether the sound interface is not broken?

What does "gets ugly" mean? Please describe the problem better than "doesn't work properly".

What are your ASIO settings? What's the buffer size? Have you adjusted it?

In the post earlier I sad : already in the preview the 909 kit (and not only this one) sounds really quiet. From 16 pads only 1 is at normal loudness ( fix Vel I checked-doesnt help)

guys, sorry. The problem was in the headphones adapter. I got just now a new one - and it works perfectly.

Thanks for the update! At least it was an easy fix.

    Or,

simply download one of the hundreds of available free sample packs with samples from the original instrument (example, here) and make your own kit, or simply replace any audio sample you think it sounds better…

    or,

use any audio editor (such as the free Audacity) and normalize/gain/compress/EQ the samples to sound as you like…
