Acoustic Legends HD - NA says "Path is invalid," but path is correct

Hi. I migrated my software to a new Mac, and ALL my NI Kontakt Komplete 13 VIs are linking up, except for Acoustic Legends HD (a Vir2 VI). I have Vir2 Ele6tricity, and it has linked without issues.

When I use Native Access to try to Repair by Choose by Location, I get an error screen that says "Path is invalid." I KNOW the path is valid. The error screen is wrong.

Does anybody know how I can get Native Access to link to this VI?

The only option for this product is "Locate" and Release Notes. Other options like "Uninstall," "Reinstall," etc. are missing.

Thank you.

    I fixed it!

I downloaded Native Access version 1.x, installed it, ran it, and was able to get ALHD authorized to show up and load in Kontakt Player in my DAW. I'm back in business.

VP, your comment inspired me to give that a try. So, I thank you again for your assistance and advice.

    Cheers,

Seems like you are stopping one level higher that the library itself. What is inside the folder:

    "Acoustic Legends HD"

NA does not know how to navigate subfolders - so you must point right to the library.

    Thanks for your reply, VP.

I have navigated to every applicable folder: The one containing all my NI VIs, the Acoustic Legends HD (ALHD) folder, and several of the folders inside the ALHD folder. I get the same error no matter which I choose.

Since I've reconnected about 50 or more other VIs, I have a handle on how Native Access works. As I mentioned, I have the Vir2 Electi6ity VI made by the same developer, and it is connected properly.

I have ALHD on another computer, it connects properly. The contents of the ALHD folders are the same, and in the same directory path.

The contents of the ALHD folder is in the attached text file.

    Thanks again,

    Jim

After looking at the content AND the product page for the Acoustic Legends HD library - my take that is that one does not require Native Access at all.

This was designed for "Kontakt version 5.3.1 or higher" putting it well into the distant past - well before any existence of Native Access. The other giveaway is that this one is purchased via Big Fish Audio. Here is a blurb from that library ON Big Fish:

Big Fish Audio - Acoustic Legends HD - A premium 24-bit 96kHz collection of acoustic guitars

"*When ordering the download product from Big Fish Audio you will be given one or more links for each of your product purchases. The links will be active for 24 hours. During this time you should download the file and expand it. You can return to your Big Fish Audio account at any time and download your products. You will find your products in the "My Products" area of your account page."

No where on that product page does it ever mention Native Access.

Hence - I believe this library - is loaded via the Files tab in Kontakt - and does not need to be "located".

The other library "Vir2 Electi6ity VI" is a mystery to me too - it was released in Spring 2010. Approximately 8+ years before even NA v1 existed. There is no requirement to "locate" that one in NA either.

Remember - the only time you ever need to "locate" a library using NA - is when there is an actual authorization "need" to use NA. Or the product page for it specifically mentions a need for Native Access.

Many third party libraries - especially dating back to these eras - are simply standalone "load and go" type libraries - load via Files menu.

Glad to hear you got it going.

Just a note that NAv1 will be permanently shut down on Feb 28. You will run into issues after that date if you need to redo these libraries past that date.
