I'd love to finally sample a lot of household objects I have and ebenfit from the amazing sensitivity of Maschine's pads.

Obvs I want to deep sample them with lots of velocities

  • is it possible to use Maschine' sampler? (assign multiple velocities etc..)
  • and create individual instruments for later use?
  • afaik Maschine sampler doesn't support round robin correct?

Thanks!

The answer is: Yes, in the Zone Menu:

You can pick velocity ranges, note-play ranges, tuning, etc…

    Thanks both

    • If you are sampling an external device such as a synthesizer, connect the instrument to your Maschine (audio and MIDI), then select Input Source to External. Refer to Input.

For what's my understanding auto sampling only works with external devices that can send MIDI which is not what I'm after

That's why I was asking about the Sampler :)

I want to record, edit, process sounds in Nuendo and prepare the sample pack to be imported straight into Maschine. (I'm a noob so I have lots to figure out but that's the plan)

Do you have a YT video where someone deep samples a guitar or a snare drum with multiple velocities for each note and creates an instrument out of that?

I couldn't find any so far.

btw, correct me if I'm wrong:

in the auto sampler, since I was trying to sample using the microphone, the Start button was greyed out because no MIDI was assigned (set to "none")

And since I'm dealing with an audio signal (no MIDI) the autosampler cannot be used.

    is that correct?

Oops! Mea culpa, not paying attention (too much chaos with the Akai announcement).

You'll have to do it the hard way.
