Can't set up my S2 MK2 with headphones or speaker

Hi!

I just got a hand me down S2 MK2 that I am trying to use with Traktor Pro 4 and a new Mac (M4 Sierra).

I can't seem to get sound through my exernal speaker or through headphone cueing, I've connected speakers to the Outputs 1 & 2 (the white and red cables), and headphones through the front.

The software is picking up all the Controller signals, but no sound at all. My audio settings are:

Drivers are also up to date:

All the volumes are up, Main, Cue Vol, the back of the controller too… and the Cue is also on, no fx on literally just installed and plugged in and tried to play a song… I'm completely lost with this one, would appreciate the help.

    Hello,

have you checked the system settings/sound/output or something like that (not a mac user myself) and look if the volume slider is up for the audio interface of the traktor s2. Also check utilities/audio and midi setup.

thanks for the reply! I did try going into the output setting of the Mac too and I picked the Traktor as the output, made no difference…

all volumes in the software are up, the sliders all work from the controller. If I change the input audio settings to my Mac in Traktor, I get sound from my laptop, but still no headphones cueing.

I also looked at the MIDI settings, it’s a default mapping, haven’t changed or added any MIDI mappings, just straight out of the box… also tried to reinstall Traktor Pro 4, and tried with Pro 3 too, still no outputs… but can see the song playing on my controller and on the software… thoughts?

If it was just the main ouput that wasn't working I'd check whether the little switch on the output section on the back panel is set to main and not booth, but that would not affect headphones.

I don't mean the midi setup within traktor, I mean the audio and midi settings from the os.

Ah ok! Checked out the audio midi setup within Mac as well, tested out the speakers through there and they work :(
