    This one is for Cubase and Nuendo 14 users (might also work for 13):

    16 page starter templates for the MK3 (.kmt files) plus matching Cubase/Nuendo MIDI Remote configuration (.midiremote file).

    The zip file contains:

    • 2 MK3 template files (one for Cubase, the other for Nuendo) that can be imported into the Komplete Kontrol MK3 keyboard with current firmware. The templates have 16 pages each with the buttons and knobs assigned to match the MIDI Remote configuration script.
    • Please note, that you’ll need to review and possibly change the settings for keyzones, pedals, pitch-bend and mod wheels after loading the template(s) into the keyboard. I’ve also created a helper program, that can copy those settings from another MK3 template file: modifying-komplete-kontrol-s-mk3-templates/
    • A Cubase/Nuendo MIDI Remote configuration script, that has 16 hardware pages, each with 8 buttons and 8 knobs. The buttons are using MIDI channel 15, CC0 to CC 127 and the knobs are using MIDI channel 16, CC0 to CC 127.

    The templates have 16 pages, since it’s much easier to delete pages than to create them. So anyone wishing to work with fewer than 16 pages, just delete some pages after importing. 🙂

    There's also an accompanying blog post, attempting to document in more detail how to use an S series MK3 keyboard as a controller for pretty much any VST Instrument plugin when using Cubase/Nuendo.

    I'll try to monitor this thread for any questions or issues.

    Hey all I'm new to the whole midi world and have a Kontrol, wondering if there is any trusted websites that have Midi Templates for the Kontrol MK3 49, I found one for my OB-6 and it's pretty sweet. Trying to find one for a Korg Mini XD and a Prophet Rev2. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    I created one for Omnisphere but I feel that it's lacking so a good template could probably act as a great teacher for the possibilities out there.

    That's great. Would that be the same implementation as the Nord Lead 2x you think?

    A couple of hardware requests: Korg TR-Rack (1998) and Roland XV-5080 (2000)?

    What's the "custom_label" field do?

    {
    "color": "Mint",
    "custom_label": false,
    "label": "Algorithm",
    "mapping": {
    "assignment": {
    "cc": {
    "midi_cc_number": 112,
    "midi_channel": 0
    }
    },
    "behaviour": {
    "toggle": {
    "off": 0,
    "on": 127
    }
    }
    }
    }

    When creating a new template on your keyboard, the default names (labels) are:

    • Knobs (1–8): CC14 to CC21
    • Buttons (1–8): CC112 to CC119

    If you edit this template and rename, for example, Knob 1/"CC14" to "Baboum",
    the editor will mark "custom label" as true.
    If you leave all other knobs and buttons with their default names, they will be marked as "false" in the editor.

    But afaik this doesn't affect the template’s behavior at all 🤷‍♂️
    Here in mine - true and false labeled, but displayed correctly.

    Only when selecting a custom image does line #3 need to be changed to "true".

    I've made one for the OPSIX

    One page worth of controls.

    Details here https://github.com/laserbeak/Komplete-Kontrol-MK3-Stuff/tree/main

    Neat. I guess your OPSIX template will run for the software and the keyboard version, too?

    Where do I find detailed documentation about how to build such a template by myself? Doesn't seem to be rocket science… Or is it?

    Korg Triton template here, set it up using the Korg Triton VST, but I used the hardware implementation data so should would work for hardware also:

    I will be updating with additional page, but need to work out the full parameters, as program change only works within the first bank currently.

    Current mapping has Triton image, SW1 & SW2 plus the Realtime controls and fixed cutoff/resonance controls, and touch strip all working.

    Also, the mod wheel on these can go in reverse (downwards), so added them as three different buttons along the top. Increment, Gate and Hold modes.

    Edit:

    Added second page which provides bank select and program change on knob, plus ADSR envelope control.

    To bank select you press [«Bank] or [Bank»] buttons to increment through them, and then the [Bank OK] button to jump to that bank, OK button also resets you to preset 1 of the selected back too.

    Modified template so that it works with Triton Extreme version too.
