NI Session Guitarist exported MIDI.
I use NI Session Guitarists on a daily basis in DAW.
I have several of these Session Guitarists.
I like the various patterns available, but I want to be able to edit them in my DAW MIDI editor.
Is there a way to export these patterns as MIDI that I can then edit?
I enter a set of chords into an instrument track in NI Session Guitarist, select an arpeggio, and then play the exported MIDI.
If this is possible, I can then use this MIDI with other instruments. How can I do this?
Anyone interested in discussing this?

These libraries don't have the same features, unfortunately, certain have a drag & drop feature, like Electric Mint:
For the ones that don't have this feature, it"s a little tricky. There is an option in Kontakt to allow MIDI out. You could then record the MIDI output of Kontakt and put it back in the track. The problem is that the scripts include internal additional notes so the recording will not be very satisfying.
I hope that helps.

Only one or two of the "Guitarists" allow drop and drop midi - Electric Mint being one.
That is about as far as I have gotten with this. If you cannot drag and drop - can't get anything into the DAW
That said - I do not quite understand this…

What DAW? What "instrument" track and what does "play the exported MIDI" mean?

I'm not talking about dragging and dropping MIDI.
I'm talking about recording MIDI.For example, I wrote a chord progression C-Am-F-G on the NI Guitar instrument track, and then I selected the NI Guitar PATTERN, and there will be arpeggios when playing. I want to record this arpeggio directly into MIDI.
The DAW I use is STUDIO ONE.

Ah - I see. I also use Studio One.
And no - these instruments do not output MIDI data - they output audio - so no chance of "capturing" the MIDI for another day.
All we can do is "write" MIDI data manually using the MIDI editor.

I hope to be able to record MIDI directly someday.
For now, I can only convert the output AUDIO to MIDI. Use MELODYNE in STUDIO.

That would require all these old "Session" instruments to be rewritten by the third party that provides them.
Can't really see that happening.
