Can I use the purchased plugins on 2 devices? I have the samplers on an external ssd.

I have the laptop with which I want to sing live and the computer from which I work at home, I bought the KOMPLETE COLLECTOR'S EDITION and saved the samplers on an external 2 tb ssd. Could I use the plugins and samplers on both devices? Thank you!

Using the same removable disk library on more devices might cause some problems if you update on one computer and the other not being aware of the updates.

But license wise then : Quote : ENDUSER LICENSE AGREEMENT , section : 3.3

Licensee may install and personally use the licensed software on three devices (e.g. one computer, one laptop, one workstation), provided that the said software is used only on one device regularly. Simultaneous use on more than one hardware device is not permitted. The Products may not be used on a network by multiple users, unless each user possesses a license. In case Licensee changes the hardware, all software on the hardware used must be deleted.

Have you ever experienced those problems? Isn’t that “awareness” automatic?

I never noticed any problem like this, but now you make me worry 😶

To OP: the way to do that is to open NA in the second computer and, at the left/bottom, select Maintenance and use the Locate Product Content. Then choose the parent folder in the external disk where all your libraries are installed

I used the word 'may' as opposed to will (I will also change the word to 'might'). I am not privy to the technical details of the update system and I am also not being kept informed of any technical changes. As such I consider it sensible to at least caution users about any might happen problems rather than blue stamping the solution without having the technical background to do so. Also as a Moderator then I can not put myself in a position where 'I should have told' people this or that rather than at least warn them that caution them that unforeseen consequences might appear. Also a question as the above is not very specific and may cover more actual use scenarios.

I think I found an answer: since NI is advertising the shared use and even have an article about how to do it, I suppose everything works ok and that’s why I never encountered any problem.

    😅 Feeeew…bullet dodged…you scared me for a moment ☺️
