Recording Pre-made Patterns
Hello to all, I hope you're all well?
I'm wondering if anyone can answer this question. I like to jam out with pre made patterns that I've bought for Maschine 2 and I use my Mikro 3 to do this. But what I'm wanting to know is can I record these jamming session? I find I'm coming up with good ideas but then I've got no way of recording these sessions.
If I could record these sessions my production times would speed up drastically. At the moment, when I like a pattern, I have to drag it into my DAW and then try and recreate the jamming session and it's never the same and very time consuming.
Any help with the above would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards
Iain

By " jam out with pre-made patterns" do you mean recording the pattern switching that you manually do?
If so, no.
But with Maschine-Plugin inside a DAW you can use
MIDI Change
, to record Section/Scene changes (since those can each have a different Pattern which effectively achieves something similar)Alternatively you can just record the Audio of your Jams, including multi-track if you want to later mix it.

Hi D-One,
Thanks for your feedback, it’s greatly appreciated. Yeah, that’s what I was hoping to do.
I’ll look at your suggestions and see if I can work around it that way.Kind Regards

Hi D-One,
Just checked out that link and that looks like that’ll do the trick.
Can I then just bounce down that midi as an audio file for mixing later on?
Thank youKind Regards

Maschine can't bounce the audio directly because the DAW will the one issuing the Scene/Section changes in realtime… Maschine can't know what those will be ahead of time.
What you can do is to setup outputs from Pads/Groups into DAW's audio tracks, then just press play and record the Audio directly in those Audio Tracks.
What DAW do you use?

Hi D-One,
Thanks for your feedback, greatly appreciated.
Ah, I see what you mean. I’m using Cubase 12 pro. Is that what you mentioned in the previous post about recording as a multitrack?
ThanksKind Regards
