Some more info would be helpful here. What's your operating system? What version of the Maschine software are you using?

Please try these steps: Maschine crashes or freezes

You have the same problem………………as yourself?!

Why are you still using Maschine 1.5? What do you mean by "new project"? Where's this project from? If it's from a NI Maschine expansion pack then maybe it's because your software is too old.

    When is "before"?

only one i can afford right now…wanted to learn to use it….new project means to make my own beat from scratch…i go to maschine file to create a new project….i can load drums and other instruments to build my beat….havent used any expansion packs…when i start maschine from my desktop..a project song loads automatically..and it wont close..even when i try to save it it wont let me close it out..

@ronaldphoenix1 The Maschine 1 software has been discontinued for years and is no longer supported. So what I write here is not guaranteed to work. However you can try and apply these steps and adapt it to Maschine 1: Maschine crashes or freezes

Once you've done that, check in preferences, I guess there's a similar option in Maschine 1, this is a screenshot from Maschine 2:

This way Maschine will always start on a blank project, even if one is corrupted.
