Maschine Expansions on external SSD for using on 2 Macs

Hello.

For usual I use Maschine on my iMac in my studio. All my expansions and the other NI-Stuff is installed on an external SSD-Drive.

Now I need to work for a few days not in my studio and would like to use my MacBook for making some sketches.

Would it be possible to use Maschine on my MacBook with the external SSD (from my iMac) or do I habe to install all the expansions on another drive/MacBook?

I can imagine that it won't be able to use the installed VSTs because they will also anchored in the OS. But the libraries of the Expansions are maybe able to use?

Any Ideas?

Thank in advance.

Cheers /// André

Hey there, you should be able to use your NI libraries with the other computer. Install Native Access on the new computer, log in to your account, plug-in the hard drive. Go to Maintenance and select Loctae Product Content.

It should be right but it doesn't work at all …

Thanks for the suggestion. That basically seems to be the way to go. At least in Native Access it shows me almost all plugins as installed. Native Access detected and registered 132 products when the folder was selected. So far so good. But in Maschinen I only see 2 expansions. These two expansions are also the only expansions marked as installed in Native Access. If I plug the SSD back into my iMac, it is recognized as "installed". A Google search showed that Machine probably only recognizes the expansions that have a NICNT file in the folder. This file is probably a contact file and is actually only included in one expansion (Jersey Ride) that machine shows me. The second expansion shown is an expansion installed directly on the laptop. I also tried setting the content folder in Native Access via Settings. But it didn't work either. I'm probably doing something wrong. But I have no idea what. Do you have an idea?
