New gear?

I feel like they just buying time with X1 mk3, Z1 mk2, I’m afraid they gonna stay quiet for another year and release F1 mk2 in end of next year, in that case they would successfully stall 3 years without major hardware release, where they should have released all 3 together last year …

I am getting really disappointed with NI, in 10 years of gap they just had one flagship ( s4 mk3) how many years more we will wait ?
will we see any pro gear near future?

If you stop to consider the current international climate, investment towards sale of products sourced and produced in 10 different countries, some of which are probably going to engage in a tradewar (if not actual war) is going to be pretty low on the list of priorities. In my estimate.

I would be surprised if the next year will be a year of 12 early chrismas days. 😊

what is missing on the great S4Mk3 in your point of view?

I for my side am glad, that I don´t have to invest every few years into new hardware!

    @The Sarge

    1. compatibility with other softwares, I'm after the idea of building my own DIY "Standalone" gear, if S4MK3 + Traktor pro on ipad would be dream. however this can be done in S3 + Djay pro + ipad. wish this can be done s4 mk3… but they lock their hardware…
    2. Proper stems & stems volume control, i like the how other dj softwares controls their stems volume SHIFT + CUE toggle between EQ and Stems, and i dont like how its done in z1 mk2 which we have to turn the knob to all the way to 100% , why cant be in middle like rest of the softwares
    3. Pad FX
    4. and for traktor pro 4 why cant we still have color cues ? can NI buy the Supreme Edition MOD from Aleix Jiménez and include in next version of Traktor update?
    5. New design, i love how my x1mk3 design , cant wait have refreshed s4 mk4
    6. bigger screen
    7. its been 6 years … come on…

thx 4 answering, Point 1-4 are things which can be done with software-updates, I think

point 5.: hmm, many turntable-producers might to catch the Technics-look and include a bit their own optical things, but didn´t brought more success - the old one is still the best in my opinion

point 6.: although I´m an old man, wearing for some years glasses, but the screen is for this what to see there big enough → it´s the same thing as with cell-phones: first they have to be smaller and smaller and nowadays they become so big, that it doesn´t fit in an leather-trowser-pocket

point 7.: can I give you my bank-numbers? it´s not only me, who have problems to spend money all 6 years for new optical(!) changed hardware (onyl if I din´t pay for the tracks I´m DJing), especially after NI cuted balls from ym NI-KK-S88Mk1 with one software(! not firmware)-update, the same with my MaschineMk2!

but okay, it´s your point of view, and I accept it! but also good to knwo, that I didn´t overseen something on my hardware missing ;)

I would be happy to have a new D2 MKII.

New look, a bit more modern, pad FX, maybe a bit more compact and definitely with a touch strip again!!

100% this. I actually love the D2 more now than ever before. What I miss is the mixer to go with it. I have a Z2 at home but that's now feeling really old by comparison. And that's probably the main issue NI have - we all want different things.

I recently bought a used Z 2 in mint condition for just €180.
I don't really miss anything about it, built like a tank, top fader, sounds good.
I created a mapping for stems and mixer FX.
I still think the look is great.
In combination with the X1 MK2 and F1 it's still a compact combo.

I'm not the fan of upgrading every now and then either, I'm new to dj and very new to Traktor, I have to buy the hardware to use the Traktor software, its not like they are open to other controllers, and if I'm buying stuff i dont like to buy old gear, but i bought anyways because i dont have choice, first i bought x1mk3 i like it but it didnt satisfy me , i bought used S8, after using it sometimes i had problems stem fader and volume fader, and just bought used Z2, 2 D2s… i held back on s4 mk3, also its dated abit for me, coming from other dj controllers, i thought they gonna release upgraded one soon but for 2 years they didnt….

Everybody is different, their situation is different, there is a lot of us love to have new gear from Traktor. there is "bunch" always speaks for traktor, as if they dont want traktor to do anything anymore!!! new gear doesnt hurt right? I'm sure when they release new gear, you all want it too !!! specially they have been quiet for so long and technology is improving so much, traktor have to catch up right? otherwise is end game ..
