4-D encoder doesn't work in the midi template editor on kontrol s61 mk3

I can't select other pedals to calibrate them. Any ideas? Is it possible to reflash the firmware?

    It works else where so it must be a software/hardware thing.

    In midi Settings the 4-D Encoder has no action for the pedal selection. In my case I try to add an expression pedal (have actually a sustain medal).

    I have tried to create a new midi template, but I have the same problem.

    The 4-D encoder functions normally in normal use with Kontakt or Komplete Kontrol.

    For the initial connection of the expression pedal I proceeded as follows :

    • connect the expression pedal to the S61 mk3
    • S61 mk3 set online.

    Midi 1.O is configured.

    Would midi 2.O useful to solve that issue ?

    I have found the answer to my problem on the Community Forum :

    Push the 4d encoder to the right, don't turn it. 

    I can then do the settings of my expression pedal (Yamaha FC7).

    I have tested it with Kontakt 8 and it works.
