Why can't I install kontakt kontent?
I don't know what it is, no descdescription but I would think its kontakt related?

Hello, eric s, this seems like a Kontakt 5.
This issue can be caused by an incident in some accounts. Can you please try to install the Kontakt 5 using the direct download links below:

So were you able to install the applications? Can you post a screenshot of your installation preferences in Native Access?

Yes, I have Kontakt 7 full and 8 player, and iveI've tried changing my content location but I still get the
error message.

That tile is not Kontakt "content". It is actually Kontakt 5 - the actual app.
Any reason you are installing this when you already have K7 and K8 onboard?

@Mert_NI , this discussion above another variant of the problem that you are referring to over here.
@eric s , as pointed out by VocalPoint then what you are experiencing is a known N.A. issue : Thumbnail of Unknown Software in Native Access . The download ought to disappear if turning off the 'Show discontinued products' in Native Access preferences.

The download disappearing thing might be valid on “discontinued” product but Kontakt 5 is not discontinued. (To my knowledge)
I see it here on NA 3.14.0 normally.
Something else is going on here with that weird Kontakt tile

Honestly VocalPoint , you are a great contributor here (even though that you are a bit argumentative in-between 😉) and I am mostly a lot more confused than you and especially with respect to how N.I. sometimes use 'Legacy" and other times "Discontinued" (didn't it once say Legacy instead of Discontinued in the N.A. settings ?).
But in this case I think that I am right , quote Jeremy_NI twice in same thread : both here : "Kontakt 5 has been discontinued" and here : "Kontakt 5 has been discontinued" , and (March 16) you even comment on same discontinuation yourself in the same thread here , so while I am mostly a lot more confused than you on a lot of things and you are more knowledgeable than I on a lot of topics then I think that I am right here 🙂

I think we have a misunderstanding. And some inaccurate info.
Yes - I totally understand that K5 is "discontinued" from a support perspective. Just as Kontakt 6 and Kontakt 7 now are. But "discontinued from support" - does not necessarily mean "legacy".
Earlier you stated:

Within Native Access - this slider (2) - if set to On:
Will make some VERY old products - that are "legacy" and still in your NI account (like Battery 3 etc) - suddenly appear in Native Access for authorization.
However - this slider - has no effect on Kontakt 5. As you can see above - my "show discontinued products" slider is off. And here is what my "Kontakt" area within Native Access (v3.14.0) - looks like:
Both Kontakt 5 (and it's factory library) stand at the ready - to be installed. K6 is there too.
They are not subject to the "Legacy Products" slider.
Now - I am not disputing that on some systems out there - there seems to be something strange going on with that Kontakt 5 tile/label within Native Access. And the errors that go with it.
But I am not 100% confident it is specific to this Legacy Product slider. If it were related to this slider - I should see the issue as well.
I never allow discontinued product to show here and K5 appears normally in my Native Access selections.

Thank you very much for the clarification(s) and apologies for the misunderstanding. I did not join the N.I. user crowd before Komplete 14 and have never used Kontakt 5. Also then due to financial considerations then I have never more than toyed with using and servicing Mac computers and have no experience with recent Apple electronics other than IOS based devices. So my personal experience with the Kontakt 5/Reaktor 5 N.A. phenomenon in question is not something that I have experienced first hand. Hence I am unable to do better than to report what information that I come across .
Also as a Moderator then I have no say with respect to getting issues such as what you report fixed. And not only have I no say but worse is that if I try to advice or suggest based on experiences here then not only am I being ignored but it's generally not well received. As a Moderator here one is a user with moderation abilities.
However , as you can see in the previous of the thread at hand here, then in this case I have still referred the issue for N.I. review more times.

Kontakt 5 is from a vastly different time and unless you have projects with K5 from 6-7-8 years ago - this is not needed.
Or - is this error just hanging there every time you open Native Access?

vocalpoint: If you would refer to my initial question/graphic; it shows just a kontakt related graphic and a content value in Mb. I therefore assumed it could be an update or content update. And yes, it is hanging there every time I open Native Access.
Please forgive my naiveté.
