Triggering Maschine's scenes from external controller

Hi people,

I'm trying to get a functional live performance setup. I'm using a Macbook Pro 2016 (intel) for Maschine (+ Kontrol M32) and Macbook Air 2023 (M1) for Logic and the sound card (it deals with samples, live voice mixing, personal in-ear feedback etc.).

I've tried two things to trig Maschine's scenes (Logic X, with midi notes):

With two computers: Logic sends the MIDI clock to Maschine and both are well synched, but the scenes are not retriggered from the beginning of the scene. If Logic triggers the scene on the third bar of the project, the scene on Maschine starts on the third bar too.
With only one computer and Maschine used as a plugin in Logic: it performs well, whenever the midi note triggers the scene, it starts from the beginning of the scene. The problem is that the Pro seems to lack power and the tempos are out of synch, and on the Air, I don't have enough USB ports for all the gear.

Is there a way to get the first method (two computers and a MIDI cable) to perform like the second (Maschine's scene retriggered as a plugin)?

No, thats the job of Maschine's ´Retrigger´ option like i said above, look at the .GIF - everytime the right note is sent Maschine starts the Scene from the start:

Use 5 pin MIDI cable.

Connect in & out of Maschine MK3

now you can control all of 3 exclusive Features.

Connect Group -channel and you can play olathem in keyboard mode, using everything in Linear linear Time Line in Patterns Scenes and Clips. It's Hyper Automation/Modulation controlling Lock States. With other 2 features use Grid 1/16 will be on time with Scenes, with or without Triggering Scenes.

Is Retrigger enabled? You can also enable Scene if you want the SW to wait to till the end of the current Scene.

MIDI Clock is not perfect. Have you tried adjusting the offset?

I don't have enough USB ports for all the gear.

Buy any 15/20$ Hub and problem solved.

Do you have a usb c to usb c hub to recommend please? The two I have create a lot of noise and interference on the output… 😕

Really? That's odd, is the noise really on the output or only on the Speakers? (You can test by checking if the noise is also on the headphone output). Does that problem happen in only one computer or in all?

I generally buy cheap generic ones, around 30$, USB-C to USB TYPE A and never had any problems.

I only have one with USB-C > USB-C but it also doubles as an external drive, SD reader, etc… so it might not make any sense to you.

There's HDMI output on each them and I suspect this electronic feature to create a lot of the noise. I'll check if it's in the headphones too but it's always when I plug the hub that I have really bad noise.
