Arturia plugins not loaded in browser

pre: I installed all updates of:
- Native Access 3.14
- Komplete Kontrol 3.3.3
- Kontakt 8

When running Kontrol, on Mac Sonoma, a lot of 3rd party plugins do not show up in the browser. Same for the brand name.
The instruments are listed when you go through the top menu, but when loaded, they do not show up in KK, neither do they on the screen of my Kontrol S61 keyboard.
You can also see in the 3rd screenshot that they are recognized by the ScanApp (which by the way crashes sometimes)
I recently updated and even re-installed some of the Arturia plugins but this made no difference.
Note: it's NOT LIMITED to Arturia.

I have the exact same setup of NI softwrae and plugins mentioned on a Windows 10, where I do not have this problem.

This is the same view in KK on Windows:

Please help asap, because if this is not working, it's return to sender for the products I just bought.
How unfortunate that may be, I can't use them if they don't work as they are supposed to.

Regards,

Kurt

    I FOUND IT !!!! 🤓🤯🍾
It was nowhere documented in the installation steps as far as I know.
Not on Native's side, but neither on Arturia's side.
The Native apps need FULL DISK ACCESS to be able to scan the System's Library folder, which can be set in the system preferences.
From a security pov it's logic because it's outside your user's environment.

But seriously, this was one of the hardest and worst documented setups I had to do. I hope NI reads this and learns from it, because as a first encounter, this didn't go down well, certainly not after seeing this kbd being praised online multiple times.

Sounds like you have not installed the NKS resources for the Arturia plugins not showing. This needs to be through their own Software centre, not Native Access. You need to check the installer settings are installing third party content, which means in Arturia Software centre in options unchecking Silent Installs temporarily to bring up the full installer dialogue, once you have made sure third party content is checked you can go back to silent installs and just reinstall all that are not showing, then rescan the KK database

@Kymela, the install process of Arturia is the same on both win and mac and automatically installs NKS resources. You can not even opt out on that.
    See screenshot of installed instrumen.
Again, this is not only with Arturia but also for example the BBC Symphony Orchestra from Spitfire.

No that is not the case - it may be the default option (it seems to be anyway) but it is definitely optional (if silent installs are off or at first install of Arturia products) and we have had many people come here to complain about this only to find that they had the third party install option deselected (maybe they did it and forgot but who knows?). So please check and also if you are not sure you could check in the Arturia Application support folder to see if you have the NKS resources there for those plugins and in Options/Library in KK to see if the paths are added.

@Kymela, by the way, I tried what you suggested. (I was wrong you can opt out, but I didn't)

Uninstalled one of the instruments including preferences, and re-installed it.

And rescanned the plugins in Kontrol.
Then restarted Kontrol, but this made no difference.

It's not just the plugins that need scanning but the NKS database. However also try the other things I suggested to see if the resources did install and also if their paths were added in KK Library options (they should be on the factory tab)

If none of this works I suggest reaching out to Arturia as it is probably something they need to fix their end

    @Kymela,
The nks files are there. I checked for the example above.
They are installed (by default) under /Libary/Arturia/Stage-73 V2/

Good - and are the paths in KK options? If so try manually rescanning them to update the database (it should happen automatically but doesn't hurt to try again). I presume you have the VST3 versions installed?

    @Kymela,
I also tried adding the /Libray/Arturia to the locations in the Plugins preferences, but even after a rescan,
    this doesn't help.

I'm not convinced this is an Arturia problem, since other plugins also do not show up.

That’s not the right place as it is for plugin paths. Look in the Library panel, can you see paths to the Arturia plugin NkS resources? If they are click on one and do a rescan. If not then there was an installation error.

    hello @Kymeia ,
I realized the plugins location was the wrong place to add the path.
In the Library, under the Factory tab, the only Arturia path I see there is one of the freeware Jun-6 Chorus effect, which is not part of the suite I bought.
But the other nks paths are not in there , and under the Library > User tab, I only have the NI User content path.
I tried selecting the Jun-6 and clicked re-scan, but it did nothing.
So, I opened up the Arturia Software Center and re-installed all of the instruments.
During installation, I made sure that for each one, all boxes including the 3rd party resources were checked.
After installing all, I checked if the Arturia'sworked standalone, and then re-scanned plugins from within Kontrol.
No luck, the vst's show up in the plugins preferences section, but apart from the jun-6 effect, the instruments still do not show up in the browser.
Locations is also still the same.

So, am I right that somehow KK can't locate the Arturia NKS folders? And if so, can I manually put them in somewhere?

In addition, something I noticed a few times during scanning: although scanning was never interupted, I got an unexpected qui message from the ScanApp3. Don't know if it's related, because the scanning process seemed to just continue.

No it does normally, I think somehow something is wrong with your installation because this works fine for the majority of people. Since this is an installation problem I think you need to contact Arturia. Their installers are responsible for making sure the path is added to KK. If it was the case of the paths being there but KK still not seeing the plugins then maybe it would be a KK problem.

btw you could add them manually to the User section if you are happy to have them there - tbh it makes no difference functionally but some people seem to want everything in factory

So just to be clear you don't have paths like this then in your library tab?

That is not how it should be but what writes those paths is the Arturia installer

I don't think that should be the cause as this is the plugin scan, it is separate from the database scan and anyway wouldn't affect whether the paths were added to library as those are added during the installation process
