I hear no sound when I press a key

in Komplete Kontrol

Everything is installed correctly, but when I press a key there are no response :(

Someone can help me ?

    If you're running Komplete Kontrol standalone go into the Preferences and check the MIDI page. Make sure that the keyboard is selected as a MIDI input as by default it's not.

    I have checked all the Midiin, maybe this is this the error?

    Now I can't control because I am not in my studio, but tomorrow I do !!

    I checked now the situation, I have this possibility :

    Kontrol S61 Mk3 (Main) or (DAW) or (Ext) or
    Komplete control virtual input.

    This 4 possibility. But don't work the same, I tried to check one, then another ecc…. but don't sound.

    I don't know what to do now :(

    For starters it would help to know what is your computer type and exact OS version (Your profile Suggests Mac M1 Pro and Sonoma) ,

    Being a midi controller then the Kontrol S61 Mk3 doesn't make any sounds by itself, so where is it that you have no sound ? in which app/program ? and what is the app settings ?

    yes my computer type and os are correct ;)

    I try to play the key in the Kontrol software. When I press a key in the software with my mouse this work, but when I play a keyboard’s key I have zero answer :(

    The midi are setup correctly, I checked the midi in in the kontrol software.

    Really I don’t understand :(

    Try checking your keyboard midi settings , press SETTINGS MIDI, Hardware, navigate until MIDI Version selection, make sure it is set to MIDI 1.0. Reboot the keyboard if needed.

    wow now work!!! I have selected the midi 2.0 damn :( thanks!!


    but now I have another problem :(

    When I record some midi data in logic, the screen of the keyboard change, I see how to setup the midi buttons instead the browser, here I can’t go nowhere :( maybe a bug?

    Manual page 72 : 10. MIDI Mode
    Display controls: Instead of controlling the connected Kontakt or Komplete Kontrol software or
    the Mixer in your DAW, the knobs and buttons below and above the display can also send MIDI
    messages. This is done by switching your keyboard to MIDI mode.

    Automatic Switch To MIDI Mode
    You keyboard will automatically switch to MIDI mode in the following situations:
    • If you close the stand-alone Kontakt or Komplete Kontrol application.
    • If your keyboard is controlling a Kontakt or Komplete Kontrol plug-in loaded on a track in your
    DAW, and you switch to another track without any Kontakt or Komplete Kontrol plug-in loaded.
