Traktor Pro 4 does not recognize Traktor Kontrol X1 while Traktor Pro 3 does.

If I hook up my X1 nothing happens in Pro 4, not even after manually adjusting Controller Manager in Settings. In Pro 3 though it immediately gets detected and is instantly ready for use. This must clearly be a software issue, anyone else having problems with their X1 in Pro 4? If so, is there a temporary workaround?

Which one, the mk1?
And it's the same computer with the same os?

It's the X1 mk1 and this is all on the same Windows 11 computer.

That should™️ just work.
Maybe someone else knows more.

If you browse this forum you see multiple complaints about Traktor controllers not working in Pro 4. This suggests a serious bug in the software. Which brings me to the question if there is a workaround until it gets fixed.

If you have the x1, can you try the tp4 demo and see if it works for you?

I would love him to try this. From my side I can report that the X1 doesn't work with Pro 4 on multiple Win 11 computers.

I have the same issue but in Mac Ventura connected to a usb hub, since I have a macbook pro M1, the first one that only has 2 usb c ports.

I did some further investigation and it turns out that Pro 4 does recognize the X1 MK1 on my MacBook Pro (last pre-M1 model). Not on Windows though.
Also my S2 MK3 controller works fine in Pro 4 both on Windows and MacOS machines. It's their older controller hardware in Pro 4 on Windows that seems to be the problem.

x1 mk1 is no longer supported on modern mac os: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014900358-Compatibility-of-Native-Instruments-Products-on-macOS
macOS 10.15 terminated the operability of some NI legacy hardware. The same applies to macOS 11 (Big Sur) and macOS 12 (Monterey). This includes MASCHINE MK1, MASCHINE MIKRO MK1, TRAKTOR AUDIO 2 / 4 / 8 DJ, TRAKTOR AUDIO 2 MK1 and TRAKTOR S2 / S4 / X1 MK1.
But for the x1 mk1 someone from the community made a fix.
@Opa wrote a small app that translate the legacy signals from the old x1 into midi signals:
