Kontakt is shutting my computer down everytime I try to use it or reinstall vst
all my other software works fine and I have updated all drivers

Forgot to say that I have been using it for 2 years and had no problems. This started about 3-4 weeks ago.

What do you mean by "shutting down"? Like it crashes and locks everything up? Or…?

sometimes I get the blue screen and it shuts the computer off and restarts. sometimes no blue screen and also shuts off and restarts. all my other vsts are working fine in Cubase 13. I've been using Kontakt for about two years with no problems. Kontakt stand alone will also cause the crash. 3rd party vsts that I have under kontakt are working so I'm at a loss.

If you are actually seeing a "blue screen" - this %99.99 hardware related. Usually drivers. Software does not cause bluescreen.
I will venture a guess that some hardware device has been updated and the current driver is now causing a conflict. If/when a blue screen occurs - you usually can see the culprit file name onscreen.
Update when you can.
