Still can not load my Virtual Drumline library

I downloaded the Virtual Drumline 2.5 library onto my desktop. (I have since moved it to the Users/Shraed folder…which is where it Kontakt seems to expect it, and where my other libraries are). When I open the Kontakt player from Reason 12 I see my two other libraries in there. I click manage libraries > launch native access to load this new one. When I'm on the NI page where my downloads are I see Virtual Drumline (but no picture) and it asks me to "locate". I click that and it brings me to the screen in my screenshot. I see the error message that the "path is invalid". After troubleshooting that it tells me to make sure Im including the .nicnt file. And as far as I can tell that file is there and the folder is in the right place.
And this is where I am…stuck. Any advice??
Here's my specs:
MAC OS Monterey 12.6.6
Reason 12
Kontakt VS2 plugin 6.8.0

Any library with an actual "nicnt" file - is usually directly managed by, authorized and installed by Native Access - not by manual file copy or "location". The "nicnt" file usually results in a third party/vendor sponsored tile to appear here:
You might want to look at this - seems to apply:
Installing Virtual Drumline 2.5 (an EMC tutorial) (youtube.com)
But one thing in this video that is interesting is - there is no "nicnt" file present:
Now - the vid was 5 years ago - but still…

The trick is probably to activate your Virtual Drumline library using Native Access version 1 rather than the newer one NI will direct you towards. Here's an article that provides some extra context:

Except NA1 v1 is now dead (or on it's very last legs).

Understood. However it is still a viable option at the moment that should solve the OP's activation issue.
NI's articles on these topics can be found here:

"Understood. However it is still a viable option at the moment that should solve the OP's activation issue."
Not according to some folks who tried it within the last 10 days.
Seems NAv1 has been locked out of the NI servers now due to old security protocols and has been failing for many who DID say it worked about 3 weeks ago.
YMMV
