The 499$ e-voucher for mk3 keyboards.

Hi everyone.

Hope you guys and gals can assist. I still have my $499 e voucher to redeem, but every single instrument I choose, is not included in the voucher offer. I'm looking for orchestral or vocal based instruments, but every single time I think I've chosen a valid instrument, I get the pop up telling me the voucher isn't valid for the selected product. Initially, before I purchased the KKS61, the nice big writing told me I'd receive a voucher for ANY NI instrument. Only after the purchase do I find out that a very small selection of instruments are covered by the e voucher?

Thanks for your time

Mark

It has to be first party (NI product) and not on offer, or some special bundle - I think they're the main criteria which matter.

For example, I went for Choir Omnia, but i'm sure I was unable to put it through until after the summer of sound offers had expired, and then it went through fine.

Same problem. I bought my Mk3 hoping to get Damage 2 with my (not free!) e-voucher, but apparently not… Like you the fine print came later. Is there a list of NI products? I'm sick of putting instruments in my cart and trying the voucher to find out if they are first party or not.

I Googled for a list of valid instruments but no luck there. it was trial and error, but initially, I wouldn't have spent so much on a controller had I know that the instruments I was getting with it weren't ones I'd have chosen, given a the choice. In the end I settled, but now I'm saving more money to get my library to where I though it would be by ordering the MK3.

Don't get me wrong, the instruments are superb, as is the Mk3, but I felt like I'd been stung by the marketing people to be honest.

Look at the Komplete Ultimate Collector's Edition bundle, under the 'Sampled Instruments' section:

    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/bundles/komplete-14-ultimate/compare/

They're mainly first party NI products, so you'd be able to do any of those - as long as they're not on offer at the time of buying.

If they're on offer you have to wait for the offer to expire. At least, that's been my experience.

There's obviously newer products than that list shows, but it gives you an idea.

Thanks for that, though this main issue really is that this information comes AFTER the mk3 purchase, so folks are spending quite a lot of money on a controller thinking they'll be able to kick-start their library with a specific instrument, only to find out later that it only applies to a very limited bundle of instruments. In the Native shop, the mk3 blurb tells us that we receive an voucher for the Native instrument of our choice up to $400 or so. Maybe there is a bunch of tiny T's & C's somewhere, but it's a misleading sales pitch.

It is a little misleading i agree, as are the money off vouchers as you can't use them on any discounted items which can be frustrating.

Trouble is, if you've been an NI user for some time you just get accustomed to these sales pitches and it becomes normalised, for anyone coming in fresh thinking they get free choice on the additional content and money off vouchers to use as they wish could easily feel disgruntled.

Sadly, you do have to read T&Cs on most promotions nowadays, I don't know if it's to 'trick' the end user or more to protect themselves from people who take advantage of offers so they've had to close all the loop holes.

I guess it's a case of taking the bad bits to get to the good bits. Native may cheat a little when promoting their offers, but at the same time, they've really opened up home recording and made it affordable for every day working folks to have an actual orchestra, a choir, and a million other ways to make industry leading music from home with quite small budgets. Its a marriage I guess…for better or for worse. lol

I tried to get the new Khitara with the voucher but I couln't, I don't know why because it's a NI'Komplet product… none of the intruments I'm interested in are on the list, so I'm a little disapointed :(

  • Marcato65
    Marcato65 Member Posts: 11 Newcomer

The instrument I eventually got with my voucher hasn't been used yet and may have to be deleted to make room for the ones I need to purchase, so in the end, I feel I got nothing with my voucher.

After contacting the costumer service the voucher eventually worked on Kithara ! :)
