XDJ-XZ USB Soundcard Input

Hi all,

Years ago, I asked this question somewhere else, and still dont have a solution. The XDJ-XZ is able to send the timecode signal from the Phono Input through USB to the PC, like many other mixers with USB Interface and thankfully, traktor is (normally) able to take the signal for timecode processing.

For any reason, Traktor does not recognize the USB Input Signal from the XZ. It does work with any other DJ Software (which i dont want do use) and all other Pioneer Mixers i was able to test, but i would be so happy if it would be possible with Traktor and the XZ.

Any supporter who wants to have a look at this?

    Heyo!

Hmm interesting never heard of such setup, can you send photos of how are you trying to connect it?

    Hi Martiniix,

i dont know exactly what you would like to see, but i will try to provide you photos.

But it can be said that its exactly the same setup like any other Mixer with USB-Interface (e.g. 900nxs2)

Can we see your "input routing" setting WHILE you play something through the phono input?

sorry, had been busy last week. i will answer better now :)

here we go: as I said, its a very simple setup and the same on every mixer with USB-Interface.

In Traktor, the CH4 from the Pioneer is Input Channel 5/6, I can test this when i switch the Knob to Phono but then the full duplex functionality is bypassed.

no Signal here when Timecode Vinyl is running.

    For Comparison: Analog Input Selection:

Honestly, I dont know what could be the problem or if the software must send some unlock signal to the hardware to pass-through the signal.

I can give you any information you need, or come over in Berlin :)

    Greetings,
    hs

First obvious thing I can see is that (assuming you're using timecode vinyl) your turntable is connected to channel 4, but the input of channel 4 is set to computer.

what is your Pioneer Driver App set to as the Input?

thats the way it should work.

good point, the Driver App of the XDJ-XZ sadly has no routing settings

instead of this, you can set a channel on the device itself to be passed through:
