set incoming midi channel in reaktor 6

Hi there. I can't find a way to set the midi channel-in on Reaktor 6. I can set Kontakt 7 to a desired channel- in this case, CH-4, but can't get Reaktor to differentiate. I have the Novation SL controller set to send to Reaktor on CH-1 and Kontakt on CH-4.

Notes trigger from the SL controller to Prism on Reaktor on CH-1 without triggering instruments in Kontakt (ch-4), but when I trigger on CH-4, both Kontakt and Prism on Reaktor play. Or maybe this isn't a midi problem but a Prism issue, because when I load Monark on Reaktor, this problem doesn't happen- the instruments isolate to the different midi channels.

Help, please!!

No "Edit" button means that you do not have the Full version of Reaktor but just the Player version…
With the Player version, you can only play, but nothing more…

By the way, Komplete 14 Select, does not include the Full version of Reaktor.

I did read the sections that seemed relevant to my question- both in the "getting started" and the "diving deeper" manuals. Nowhere did they point out what you pointed out earlier.. Also, before posting a question, I explored all of the buttons and drop-downs extensively. While there is a mention of the EDIT button in the "diving deeper," that doesn't show the same fields as you showed me- did not suggest an answer.

You have not wasted your time on someone who hasn't done a good chunk of research.

Next step seems to be to obtain the full version. I appreciate your help!

In Reaktor, there is no "generic" Midi channel assignment. Each ensemble has its own Midi channel.

In most cases they are assigned to Channel 1 but on other cases (like in Prism for example) they are assigned to Omni (Omni is all channels)

Go on each ensemble's Properties, at the Connect tab and change the Mini In Channel.
If you want this change to be permanent, you need to save the ensemble, or in case of a paid/factory ensemble such as Prism, to save a copy of it in your Reaktor user area folder and always use that version instead of the original.

Thank you- much closer to solving. It appears those options are opened by the square with the check mark in it on the right end of the line of options at the top of the side panel. That option is not clickable in my Prism. Any ideas why that would be and what I can do about it?

It appears ensemble refers to the entire plugin, not individual sounds- is that correct?

Any help there will sure be appreciated- it's an intriguing standalone that so far has limited use. Thanks again, Phil

I don't have the EDIT button, nor can I find a way to open a header bar that shows the "Panel>Prism." Maybe this is part of the pathway I need to find?

In VIEW dropdown, "EDIT MODE" is also not clickable. Could I have an incomplete version? I did buy this as part of "Komplete 14 Select."

Hello gain,

Asking this kind of question means that the only help that you really need right now, is to read the manual!
It is impossible to learn a highly unique and sophisticated software such as Reaktor without fully read and understand the manual first! And this, will be just the first step to a very long journey… :-)

Hey, I see what @Sunborn is relating you to, it's right, you need the whole Reaktor, not the player.
Whenever you get it, I want to point you that you also can override the channel on the Connect tab, by a Module called Midi Channel. You find it under Built-In Modules / Auxiliary. Any info on it just say a word, although the manual speaks of it, but I recommend you see in the Reaktor 5 manuals also, because they relate to 6 with almost everything and that one even has tutorial for most of the module's use.
